Re: A raiders jackets that actually fits?
I believe Wested's standard (non-Legacy/Hero) Raiders jackets come without the dropped shoulders as well - with only their Hero and the Legacy Hero incorporating intentionally wider shoulder seams.

Re: Wested Legacy series announced
That confirms it - LC looks great! Raiders..well...can't say I like the look of that leather- doesn't seem to have the Raiders vibe that other earlier Wested's have had. I like the colour, I like the weight, and I like the finish. But it is too smooth, it needs a bit of ribby character. Would love ...

Re: MY FEDORAS AND YET I WANT ANOTHER
It was a Fed 4. Honestly I think it I never found it very comfortable due the shape of my head. As a baby my skull plates were hardening too quickly and I had a surgery to fix that. It’s not noticeable except for a small “dent” just above my left temple so I think it puts extra pressure there on a ...

Re: Weathering on Indys jackets
When people buy the "indiana jones jacket" at the park they are more likely to identify it as identical or extremely just like the one in the latest film without noticing things like different straps, body lengths, etc., than the film one has. Also, the hat is darker brown to better look l...

Re: Is Herbert Johnson the holy grail of indy fedoras now?
Christys' Adventurer brim remains at the older 2 3/4" X 2 1/2" brim specs that the HJ sat on as default for years. Herbert Johnson modified their brim specs from 2 3/4" X 2 1/2" to be a bit wider when they went to the different hat blocks and FEPSA felt. If Christys' also made th...

Re: Weathering on Indys jackets
https://i.ibb.co/VJM9SnY/jacket.jpg It's like there's no real movie being made but just a lot of publicity shots of HF standing around in an Indy costume. There is never any film or set equipment in the shots, background or otherwise; only practical lighting with him just "off" set or wha...

Re: Critique My Indy Hat Project
It's got a pre-cut vintage Poet Dr. WHO vibe about it. I like it. Brim/Crown ratio also looks in tune with the current adjustment norms. Are you going to put these out there for purchase? It's a very good-looking hat.

Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread
Lots of great character in that jacket. If the body length were longer I'd definitely get one but it looks to have that "Bespin Gap" body/sleeve ratio that most (all?) Indy jackets tend to have. I really like a lot of the details I'm seeing in its design, however. Texturally, a bit much fo...

Re: The Penman post 'em up Pages....The Adventure Continues.
I don't see any pics of the hat (Canyon's Penman reblock) that is being mentioned and commented on at the moment. Is this a forum setting I need to change? There are no pictures of the hat showing to be able to see.

Re: Is Penman Still In Business?
What are the differences between HJ's currently adopted Poet block versus Penman / Delk versions from a few years before HJ changed their specs over to match? Don't they all share the same general flat-top, straight-sided block and shape at this point or is someone actually out there making somethin...

Re: Wested Legacy series announced
Ordered this on the longer side as I think it's among one of the only Indy jackets one can order in terms of preferred specs vs. defaulted and decisively generalized specs among most Indy jackets that, to me, look too "Bespin" short or "Tuxedo front without the tails - ish" for e...

Re: USWings 40th anniversary Indy/Cooper jackets!
The length on the Cape Buffalo version looks really good, actually. The pocket placements are too high for it giving it an overly elongated appearance but the coat length in relation to the sleeves looks very good. The Cooper line does look more like a rebrand rather than a pattern change.

Re: Any Pics of Fed IV vs Herbert Johnson Color?
Interesting. The HJ and Christys' looked similar shape and spec-wise but the felts didn't feel quite the same in hand. Did HJ verify that they were using the same felt as Christys' for their hats or just that their hats were being made at Christys' factory?

I mean in terms of the felt they (Herbert Johnson) were using prior to switching to customs, not the Cury felt from years ago.

Re: Any Pics of Fed IV vs Herbert Johnson Color?
Wow, neither one looks like the Cairo hat color but the Fed looks to be in the more correct hue even if lighter. That deep sable looks really red in daylight. Somewhere between the two is the right Cairo shade of muted brown but neither one of these have it on their own. https://www.indygear.com/ima...
