Holt,
Did you find the sizing to be pretty close to accurate with this one off the rack? Or did you provide some guidance to Wested in the ordering process?

Re: Webley WG, finally found one!!! pics
Thanks jts1031, and I intend to shoot lead bullet though it from now on. One question though on something I'm just not clear on yet. Would not the barrel be smaller on a Webley caliber marked 450/455 vs. 455/476? I'm not sure what the double #'s (xxx/xxx) indicate. Antilles That indicates that the ...

Re: Webley WG, finally found one!!! pics
This WG says 450/455 on the barrel. It seems more compatable with respect to .45 ACP rounds (?). At the cylinder, most likely, yes, as it's been cut for the .45ACP with moon clips. But the barrel will still be sized for a .455 bullet. Granted, we're only talking about 3 thousandths of an inch. But ...

Re: Webley WG, finally found one!!! pics
A WG Webley in 100% condition would fetch about $2500. The conversion knocks it down to the $800-600 range. Keep in mind that a gun approaching 120 years old is very unlikely to be in 100% condition. The .45ACP is loaded to pressures high enough to cycle a 1911 slide, which will damage the Webley. T...

The best holder I've come across is the one sold by Joe Strain. It's of the no slip variety and does just that, doesn't let the whip slip.

Re: Webley WG, finally found one!!! pics
.45 ACP must be loaded to a certain pressure in order to cycle the 1911. The .45 ACP cartridge is loaded to a higher pressure than the .455 Webley and is unsafe in the long run as it will be detrimental to the Webley, even in good condition. The best advice is to reload your own .45 at a lower press...

Fortunately, the Blue Book of Gun Values is intelligent enough to know there is no such thing as a Webley Greene. They have it listed as a Webley Improved Govt. Ninety percent value is $2k.Rook wrote:The WG is actually supposed to stand for "Webley Government."

Re: Was the Raiders fedora intentionally made poorly?
I tend to think of the Raiders outfit much like the ANH Vader. In Episode IV, the Vader suit was rushed, not a lot of love and care was shown for it, it was half finished, with brush strokes being visible on the painted parts, along with all kinds of scratches and dings. The time and budget just was...

They also make the AF76, which is the standard 405 in black, a gloss black at that. I was excited the first time I stumbled upon Alden of Carmel, hoping that it would be Carmel, Indiana. I could get there in the near future reasonably. But instead it's out in the northwest. Oh well...

My first was the Stetson Indy hat that came out around the time of Temple of Doom, in a youth model. I was on top of the world with that hat. It had an Indiana Jones pin and everything. Couldn't get more official than that.

Keep in mind that the Christy's has a 5 3/4" crown, which is very tall. I don't know the specs on the PB straw, but I would guess that's it not quite that tall, so you'll still have issues with the height. At 5'8, you'd probably want something with a shorter crown to get the scaling correct.

What about the possibility of the hat being a regular oval, and going on a long oval head? If you press with your fingers at the front and back of the sweatband, does the channel become any deeper? Picturing it in my head, I see the channel becoming more prominent as well.

Certainly seems to have the general appearance of Solo. I wouldn't be surprised since LA games seem to always have some easter eggs. I remember one Indy game had a room where if you looked out the window you saw the CE3K ship. This is one game though that has me wishing I'd held on to the Wii.

Just to further the zipper debate, I believe the zipper to actually be a nickel brass zipper. It would appear silver, but once used for a bit, more of the golden hue of the brass would start to come through. Makes more sense than musical zippers. But I guess that's not the fun, is it? :) Yes.
