Something had been nagging at me ever since Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premiered in late June of 2023. Mainly, during the 1944 prolog, where does Indy stash the newly acquired half of Archimedes’s dial as he’s working to escape the train?

At the end of the sequence he hands it off to Basil Shaw, seemingly out of his jacket. Was this some magical slight of hand, did Indy have it tucked under his arm for the whole train fight?

During a recent re-watch I discovered there is a large interior (map) pocket to accommodate the dial. Visible flapping in the wind as Indy lays on the train roof after Voller is knocked off.

It’s a large, sideways opening pocket on the left side of the jacket. Since Indy hands the dial piece to Basil with his left hand, reaching out from his right, should we assume that there’s another pocket on right side?
