Potential gun prop
I found this last night while searching for a decent Indy revolver prop for Halloween.
I know it needs some paint, but it looks pretty good.

Be careful waving that thing around in Philly, Blues! Someone might shot first and ask questions later.
It is an awesome find, my friend. All you need is some brown, black, and gun-metal model paint to dress it up well and it would be perfect. It would be fun to paint it. You could use a couple of different browns to get the wood grain and paint a trompe l'oile effect of a real gun.

Why? One of the moments people remember of TOD is when he goes for his EMPTY holster...IndianaGuybrush wrote:I ordered one of these because I need something to go in my holster on halloween ...
I plan to put my cell phone in mine...when I get one. I figure I'll have a holster LONG before a gun...even a prop one. Got little ones in the house and a wife that is already keeping a careful eye on the WHIPS...

I ordered one of these because I need something to go in my holster on halloween and this nails te shape of the Raiders gun pretty durn well.
Has anyone tried the new spray paint that's supposedly made specifically for plastic? I've only seen the commercial, but maybe that'll work on this gun prop.

Oh trust me bowjunkie, I'm hangin' in! (take a look at my avatar) I just needed something ready for Halloween and the price was right.bowjunkie35 wrote:Just hang in there guys! Won't be long!

As for the TOD look, I'm going as Raiders Indy, so I want a gun. True, I'm the only one who's going to notice, but if that were a criterion for the gear I wear I'd be a few thousand dollars richer.

Well the news is, because I do this kind of stuff for a living, I had to put the Indy gun project off until just after Halloween. Been swamped with orders from people needing items for Halloween so I had to make a slight priority change. Don't worry, it is a definite go. I am as excited as anyone to get this one going. It will be something special I can guarantee!Indiana Gater wrote:There haven't been any updates or pics in a month. Any news?bowjunkie35 wrote:Just hang in there guys! Won't be long!

Hehehe...well said. IDIC, to each his own. Just thinking of a workaround for you.IndianaGuybrush wrote:As for the TOD look, I'm going as Raiders Indy, so I want a gun. Problem is..
Problem is that when I looked into the legality of a resin hand gun in Canada, the answer was "Verboten!!!" , restricted from ownership . Yes, I can own a real handgun "with all the nonscence" or even an airpistoli, but NYET....a Resin deal is "No go". At least thats what I got from the Ontario Provincial Police and a local gunsmith.
Gator...do you have any info that might allow this to happen? Could the colour of the gun make it passable?
