I just happened upon a stash of Wells Lamont 1130 gloves at a store in town. I heard that Wells Lamont was changing the design of this glove somewhat, but does anyone have any pics or clues as to what's changed? If the gloves I found are "originals," then I may have a possible, but limited resource for getting the 1130s.

What's the diff between old and new Wells Lamont 1130s?

I think the newer version has a suede patch on the palm. At least that's what IndianaMikey reported to us a short while ago...check it out here:

If the gloves you spoted don't have this feature, I'd snag a pair or two for yourself. Hope this helps.

The 1130's I saw did NOT have a reinforced palm on the outside of the glove. The gloves I saw must be older, "more acceptable" versions of this glove. There were a good number of them, too (I'd say maybe two dozen or so, but don't quote me on that) so if anyone has a hard time finding these gloves and is interested, I may be able to work out a deal. If I pick up a pair this weekend, I'll try to take some pics.

Don't worry about it. From what I understand, the Wells Lamont 1123's were the ones that were believed to have been used in Raiders, and they are the style that is very hard to find. The 1130's are very close to the 1123's, so they are the next best thing if you want Wells Lamonts. Now the 1130's may become a rarity as well, (at least the semi-screen accurate ones) with the upcoming "modification". So if you're lucky enough to find the older style 1130's without the suede patch on the palm, I'd pick them up...if you find the 1123's, even better. It's always helpful to have somebody chime in when they make a discovery that could benefit everyone.
