My first bespoke Indiana piece of cloth - Indy trousers

Post by Velahrn »

Hello

A few month earlier, I asked about proper Indy trousers cloth. After some advice, I finally decided to order a wool from Magnoli - apparently, they not only make Indy style pants, but they also sell fabric for it.

Trousers were made by a Polish master tailor Józef Błoński, and cost about 150 USD. Mr Błoński made two suits and an Ulster coat for me, and I am very fond of his work.

Today I want to share some general photos, and details, and tomorrow I hope I can show you how they fit. I intended to keep all the details as close to the original as possible, the only difference is obviously the sizing - my pants were cut for me, not for Harrison Ford.

No, I live in Poland, Warsaw. Błoński tailor shop is based in Warsaw too https://www.facebook.com/blonskibespoke" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And if you ask because of the use of "trousers" word. Well, I am aware that's mostly a British word, and Americans say "pants", but English is a foreign language for me. I have never lived in any English-speaking country, I learned it basically myself and I am fully aware that my vocabulary may not be coherent :D .

Great job!

Was the total cost lower than custom made pair from Magnoli?

Actually slightly more expensive, but I am sure about fit (obviously because them were a bespoke pair instead of ready-to-wear).

And the promised photos:

They are very, very comfortable, not too tight and not too loose, just perfect fit. I assume I could really climb, fight and jump with them!

Perfect modern fit, not the baggy one we know from the films. I love them!

How much is the cavalry twill per square meter or sqaure foot at Magnoli's?

Actually they sell it 68 USD per yard https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/cavalr ... p-383.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They recommend two yards to make a pair.
