Apologies for posting this... happy to take down if I've breached a rule. Ran across this recent video by Joe Green and liked how he framed his approach to distressing and 1930s originality.

Interesting! If he’s a member here, the disc on the side of the bag was so you could take the string that was attached to the other side of the bag around your body and wrap it around the disc to securely attach the gas mask bag to your body in use.

He’s done his homework, that’s for sure! As he said, minor points are up for debate, but that’s what makes the hobby do interesting after all these years!
