My new rustic hat wall display stand/hooks

Post by Clipper »

So I've been looking for a long time for a cool, vintage or industrial looking way of displaying my Fedoras on my wall. I looked and looked and those really cool vintage french style wall hat holders are very rare and expensive and you're lucky to find one at a time. So I looked and looked and found that you could actually buy some nice looking Helmet stands that would be great for hats. But, very expensive. Best one I found was $75 each. Not terrible but adds up to a lot when you have 3+ hats to display.

So I came across an etsy seller who was selling a very industrial iron pipe style hanger/hat stand. So I decided to build my own!

Everything bought at Lowe's hardware. 1/2" iron piping. Came to about $19 each. They didn't have matching iron bases so I had to buy steel ones and spray paint them iron. But they turned out great and match perfectly! Also painted the screws to match. So far only made three. It also does work great for my motorcycle helmet too.

Check em out and let me know what you think!

From left to right, my Akubra Clipper, My Adventurebilt CS in Raiders bash, and my vintage Cavagnah.

I really like your idea and it looks really cool, great job. I just have my hat's sitting upside down in my closet. This makes me want to do something else with them.

Keen display for your hats. My grandfather built me a replica of his hat rack when my wife and I purchased our home. It got me to thinking about how to display more of my gear, ropes, bags, packs, and the like. Again, I really like the look of this.

Been looking for a decent hook for a long time but haven't found any to my liking. I love this! Thanks for sharing!
