Contact him first, the last thing I heard from him was that he was not going to take new orders starting January 2015.

Speaking of ordering an AB. I am all set and ready to pull the plug on ordering an AB deluxe from Marc. I have gone back and fourth over the idea a few times. Due to the current exchange between dollar and euro, now is as good a time anyway. Something about the deluxe has been calling to me since September.
I had gone back and fourth between getting another Beaver from Penman hats, but just keep looking at the AB deluxe.
My question. Those who have one........its a long wait and a bit more money, but in the end, are you glad you have one? Its the best you can get in terms of material and craftsmanship, but if you had a do over.....

Anyway, a bit of a derail from this topic. Good luck to you Charybdis. Hope you can order one still.

Congrats. Whats your ETA? When I placed my order with Steve in August I waited about a month. This was for the Beaver though.

Hmm, I placed an order around then. Was told I'd get it in November but nothing since. No replies to email inquiries either.

The AB Deluxe is well worth the extra money and wait time (I don't know how much of a wait time it is currently). I own 3 ABD's and they are fantastic!!!!

For those with AB hats, does it come with the AB logo on the liner? This logo was not seen in the movie, correct?

Typically Steve uses the Staff of Ra liner in ROLA hats and his Pyramid liner in CS hats.

The hats in the movie had plain white liners Steve special sourced for the movie. He did sell a few hats post CS with the plain liners he had left over.

I recall Steve once telling me that he was phasing out the Staff of Ra liner for continued use of the pyramid liner in all his hats as the Ra image actually belonged to LFL, but I don't know if he ever did it or not. :-k

I know Garrison's hats have the Ra liner (with Steve's consent).

I agree. I got a CS from him not all that long ago and it was a Ra liner. To me, the Ra looks better than the Pyramid anyways.

Quite an easy fix really. You get the pyramid but want the staff of ra? But a nice sharpie and doodle it on the liner.
