Glovolium

Post by Jacques »

I have Glovolium by Rawlings which I use to break in baseball gloves. It contains lanolin, and the bottle states it says "...to help break-in, preserve, soften and protect your glove." It does well in softening a baseball glove, but would this help soften say, boots, or a whip? Or, just stick with what works (ie: Pecard)?

Anything containing animal byproducts isn't usually recommended for our gear. Lanolin is an animal byproduct.

Your call, though.

:M:

Not that it isn't necessarily a GOOD thing....it's just that it attracts all sorts of vermin and the link when placed in storage, and sometimes can actually allow leather fibers to break down. Just an FYI.

Used to use that stuff on my baseball glove when I was a kid. Probably best reserved for the gloves. :-k
