Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
Ok has anyway had problems with their Todd's shirt shrinking? I washed mine in cold water and then line dried it and it looks it it shrank up quite a bit. I can hardly get the sleeves buttoned now!

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
Ya mine shrank some as well but I did it intentionally I bought a large and I wanted it smaller. The cuffs are tighter but not to bad I'll just move the buttons when I change them out.

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
So I measured mine this morning and found that the sleeves had shrunk a full 1 1/2". It looked like I was wearing my kids shirt. I emailed Todd's Costumes and Sue responded back that they were hearing some reports that the shirts were shrinking in the wash and she would be happy to either exchange it for a Large or refund my money. She also included a paid postage label!
Way to step it up Todd's! What customer service, kudos to you!

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
I like my new Todd's (cheap or not, not everyone can afford a NH) so 50.00 isn't bad, doesn't stretch the budget.
But, I did wash mine in hot water and dried on hot, trying to shrink it, but I think what I might end up doing is getting another L and washing it on cold, and line dry.
The major issue I have this time around Todd, is the cuffs, another 1/4" to 3/8" of material and they wouldn't be so tight.
Anyway, love the color, liking the collar so much more than the last offering, materials a little heavey for summer wear, but I like it. Keep up the good work my friend.

PS I posted some pic's in the Vendor section under the heading "Shirts are here - new color."

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
Though I wasn't thrilled with Todd's jacket or hat (and sent both back), I did rather like the shirt and felt it was of fairly good quality. I was just disappointed with the shrinking. But, I'm very happy with their customer service?

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
This seems the appropriate thread for these pictures.
I received my new L, cold wash, 2 minutes in the dryer on low, wore it around in the sun, then the rest line dry.
If you look close enough on the pant leg (right as you looking at the pic) you can see where I marked my pants with a marker. (they were trashed any way) You can see how much the shirt still shrank in the body, but the sleeves stayed pretty darn the same, see I marked my hand with a marker too (they weren't trashed, but the things we do for the hobby). Over all this shirt will never go in the dryer, wrinkled nicely, I'll iron the sleeves some to get the major wrinkles out. The cuffs didn't shrink much either.
The sleeves now measure 23" Only shrank an 1"
pic's in order.
New front & back
Just out of the washer front & back (now you'll see the marker)
Dry front and back and one pic tucked in. Sorry no major gear this time, just my HJ.

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
I'm 5'5" I'd go with a L, I've owned a Todd's M from his second run, fits ok but wicked tight in the cuff, fine if you don't wear a watch, but with one, Tight.
Just follow my lead, cold wash and line dry. In the colder season, it'll hang in one of my door ways. Never in the dryer

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
Ya that looks like mine too. I'm 5'8", 175 lbs. The Medium fit me great until I washed it. Now the shrunken Larg fits OK. Sleeves are appropriate length but it is still a little big in the body. I'm temped to buy another medium and dry clean only!
On a side note, I just got a Wested size Small and it fits great!

See, thank god for this forum, all these manufacturers don't always go by standard sizes. The input from everybody is what makes this work.

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
I have a 44 inch chest. There is no shirt other than a Wested that is 44 (wested is too short in length) and a 46 is really baggy and 42 is too tight (can't even button up). Did this shrink in the chest at all? Thanks.

Hope this helped.

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
Maybe about an inch or two. I never did take that measurement prior to washing. Sorry.

Re: Todd's Shirt Shrinkage?
I'm not sure how much mine shrunk in the width, maybe a little but mostly it shrank in length.
