Has anyone got experience with this? I usually use Picards liquid or cream or Lexol spray depending on what effect I'm working on. I found an eBay sale for a copy 9th Doctor Who leather U-Boat jacket like Christopher Eccleston wore. It was in brown and had a great look to it. I have one in black by the same maker, so I really knew what I was looking at. Anyway, the seller said he treated it with Obenauf leather care oil. I checked on line and emailed him for more details. Finally I purchased a bottle.
I have a Wested Shruken Lamb Hero( the one that has uneven coloration). These are kind of stiff to my preference. I have done many things to it...showered with it, rubbed in heavy Pecards cream...all trying to soften it up. I have found rubbing in Pecards Cream with steady, circular massaging all over, really helps. It also evened out some of the uneven coloration this leather is known for (which was great). Today I gave it a coat of Obenauf using the applicator it comes with. (It's similar to the applicator in a bottle of liquid shoe die/polish - a round puff on the end of a wire inside the cap.
It didn't take too long to soak it in. I must say I am Very happy with the results.
It's a bit darker (cool) and feels like better grade leather to the touch. It also has a much more natural drape.So I'm curious if anyone else here has experience with this stuff...

You can see it is now closer to the color of a TODDS! Some of the darkening came from hand rubbing the Picards cream. The rest was from the Obenauf which is very liquid like a heavy oil but not like linseed oil. This might be good on Aldens that are too orange.
I must have done something horribly wrong, lol. Seems a lot of people love this as much as I do. And like one poster said "it smells great"! It actually smells like new, fine leather.
