All metal Stembridge

I tried searching but to no avail. I was curious if any one knows where to buy an all metal replica of the S&W Stembridge. I can only find the bapty relicas like todds cap gun but I'm trying to make an authentic hawaii costume. I would just spend the money on a real 1917 but I live in New York where open carry is illegal and any type of carry in NYC is illegal. Which is a problem because I like to go to NY Comic Con each year. So does any one know where I could find an all metal replica of the stembridge ? If not I guess I can settle for a resin copy but would prefer the metal one.

Well I decided to go with a resin stembridge since no one seems to make a metal version of this guy. It'll do for now for conventions. Now I just need to track down a real 1917 to add to my gun collection hah

If you have a dremel tool, I would say buy Tanaka's Bapty and dremel down the sight. The Bapty is practically identical to the Stembridge minus the front sight. Dremel the sight either off entirely or to the shape. If you dremel off entirely, then solder on a pre-fabricated sight. When all is said and done, then mask off the rest of the gun and spray paint the front silver and you should be good to go with a nice metal replica stembridge.

That looks pretty good. I bought the resin (rubber?) version from Western Stage Props and it's terrible. Lots of bubbles in the casting. I'm working on making it look nicer.

Gotta agree. I picked up their Bapty version and the cast is pretty rough.

Hmm that is a pretty good idea actually. I may try that but also on the flip side its an expensive mistake if I screw it up hah
