Felt-hat reblocking

I have a old "fedora" piece o´----- (59 cm) that needs a reblock,ribbon replacement,lining and sweatband too.I have read that some members have done that themselves or have it made for them.There´s makers such as Penman,Adventurebilt,Steele and Jones and all,who else reblocks too?

David Garrison will reblock hats. If you type "hat restoration" into your browser you'll find a bunch of places that offer the service. Can't vouch for any of them since my only experience in reblocking is with Penman hats, but you can call them and see.

I've only had restoration work done by Paul's off these vendors, though I've purchased hats from Optimo and Art Fawcett. Paul's is on the pricier end of the spectrum for their work, but they do a good job. I also know that they have a big cache of vintage ribbon and a huge collection of blocks, because I've been to their shop. Optimo is frequently used by members on The Fedora Lounge and I haven't seen a hat that came back from Optimo that didn't look great. Mike Miller is going to reblock an old Stetson Playboy for me when I have the cash, I've heard good things about his work and he makes some nice lids himself...just short on cash at the moment.

There's always Peters Brothers too! I am sure they would do it for you. I have had them do one for me in the past and they were great (as always) to work with and very fair on pricing. W>
