New Whip

Post by darksideman13 »

This Is my most recent whip I've made. It's a 6 foot, 16 plait whip with a 6 inch handle. Obviously its red ;) . This was made for a customer out in North Carolina. I don't believe he is a member here. Cracks like a dream.

Great Job Luke!

Don't care much for the color, but, the customer is always right.

I've always thought that a red (or blue, green, violet, orange) would make pretty cool "Star Wars" whip. Just make the handle look like a light sabre and voila! A light whip!!!

laser whip?

yeah do a red/blue/green whip, cut out the handle strands, do that black and silver, do your heel knot black and silver ( mostly

black ) and do the transition black and silver, you have a lightsabre whip / laser whip.

That's kinda cool.

That would actually be an awesome idea. Maybe when I get some spare cash, I can try doing something like that. Thanks for the kind words guys!

you could also stick in a pvc tube (that's the right size) over the handle and paint it silver and add some doodads to make it look like a lightsabre handle... ;)

plaiting it into the handle would look a lot cooler though

Funny you should mention that.
My next project is a bullwhip with a PVC handle.
I've got a 8" piece of 1/2" ID pipe, with a ping-pong ball filled with epoxy and bbs on the end.
Now Fenris is giving me ideas about making it look like a lightsaber.... :-k
