Hi!
I received my "standard" Sized novapelle, it seems to me that there is a sizing problem.
So my question is simple:
when you zip your wested LC jacket and put it flat, what is the longest? Front, back or are they the same? (please mesure the difference)
thanks to all of you who will give me those precious infos.
By the way, no "I think", you have to be sure.
And of course no custom front length, that would be irrevelant

Re: Help from those who own a wested Last crusade
Hi,
I measured my LC and the front (measured by the stormflap) is 22.5" and the back (from bottom of the collarstand) is 26" long. The front is 1" longer than the back when laid flat in front of me.
Here are two pictures of my jacket flat.
Hope this helps a bit.

I noticed that even with my custom Wested LC, it shrunk a little after wearing it. I ordered a size 44 which fit fine at first, but now fits more like a 42...

Re: Help from those who own a wested Last crusade
Mine is a Wested horse hide I got in brand new condition from a fellow COWer some months back. It's a 44 also. First thing you notice is its length, the body is real long. From the top snap to the bottom it 24 3/4 inches long. At the rear from the base of the collar to the bottom of the jacket it's 28 1/2 inches. Sleeves are 24 1/4.
The pull tabs were at the very bottom of the jacket when I got it! I removed them and hand stitched them back on so they now sit in the correct location relative to the pockets. The thread used to sew it all together appears to be 100% cotton and not very strong. I have had to repair the corners of both pockets.
All in all I'd say this jacket must have slipped past quality control. Had I paid full price for this jacket from Wested they would have gotten it back pronto!

I should have asked the question like this:
when you zip your wested LC jacket and put it flat like this, what is the longest? Front, back or are they the same? please mesure the difference not the 2 lengths.
And of course no custom front length, that would be irrevelant. you have to be the one who order it from wested to be sure this is not the case
Thanks for your help!

Pinching mine at each shoulder seam and laying it flat the front and rear line up almost perfectly. When worn it appears the rear is about 1.5 inches shorter then the front.

Hey, me too! As a matter of fact, since the Holidays all my Westeds shrunk! Not to mention all my pants and shirts! Must be some sort of conspiracy to get me back on the treadmill!knibs7 wrote:I noticed that even with my custom Wested LC, it shrunk a little after wearing it. When lain flat like that the front on mine is 1 inch longer than the back. Pretty consistent with what others reported
