California Museum's "Out of This World" exhibit pictures

Post by DeWayne »

The California Museum in Sacramento has this exhibit going on until January 10th. Flash is not allowed so I did the best I could with my 1.4 lens wide-open. There were two sets of jackets and whips. The "Raiders" set, and a "KotCS" (which is actually labeled as "LC" ) set downstairs in the George Lucas area of the museum. Don't know about the "KotCS" set, but in my opinion the "Raiders" set doesn't hold up. There's three pages of pics, so browse them all.

These pics are massive when viewed full-size. Fair warning.

Both jackets have poppers on the storm flaps it seems? They're not Raiders or ToD :anxious:

Yeah... The "Raiders" one is weird. There's a snap on just that side from what I could tell, not on the storm flap itself though it seems, and no snaps at all on the bottom. Collar construction is Raiders all the way. So, yeah, weird. I believe this is the Paul allen collection.

The headpiece is the one auctioned off by Profiles a couple of years ago, not screen used.

I guess the Kurtz is considered an "LC".... That's the one that has the "Indy III" written inside right? Do you know what year it was auctioned? Looks like a late 90's Wested to me, right down to the cotton inner facing of the collar stand. In the pics of me standing next to the display I'm wearing my '98 Wested.

Nah, they just never used the search function :P

Man, I would have loved to go there, but it's such a long drive :?

What? You can't drive from Europe to America anyway? Ah well, never mind then. :[

So how much of what is on display is 'real' and or screen used.

The headpiece as A5 points out isn't. The Kurtz jacket isn't.

What else is or isn't?
