Got my Todd's Boots!

Post by jasonalun »

Just got my Todd's boots today! \:D/ I am impressed. The fit is great (wonderful idea those printable "foot templates," Todd! :TOH: ) I was a tiny bit concerned, as I am a ten and one-half and at one time wore elevens in some brands, but your templates were right and these tens are perfect! If I'd gotten the elevens they would have been way too big.

I'll post pics later if anyone cares (they all look the same, don't they? ;) ) but I wanted to thank Todd for his great service and a sturdy, comfortable, affordable boot that looks just like what Indy wore, as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT: Here's the pics!

You said they all look the same, but those look better than my first run pair did out of the box. Seriously. It seems the product has improved over what it was.. and I really like mine. You'll like em, I think.

I wore them all evening yesterday and on a long walk through the neighborhood, and they felt great. They hardly needed breaking in, but they are getting even more comfortable the more I wear them. I put some brown shoe polish on them to darken them a little and darken the white stitches a bit.

To anyone sitting on the fence about these, go for it -you won't be disappointed!

I have a pair of these boots from the original run and I was just wondering how the new issues might be different from the old ones? Is the leather thicker with the new pair? I heard there was some QC improvements? So far, mine have been holding up just fine.

I'd be interested to know how the soles and heals hold out. Let us know will ya? Mine fell apart in 4 days. Todd paid for the repairs though.

As far as I can tell so far, the leather quality seems superb, and while not very thick, seems to be high quality and able to take some abuse. The soles don't seem as high quality material as the uppers, but they seem to be holding up just fine, and that's all I ask for. I'll keep you posted if anything starts to happen to them.

They arrived in only three days! I was impressed.

I've had mine for about a year, and have worn them constantly. The heels did wear down within about 5 months (but i'm always tough on the outside edge of heels, my cowboy boots do the same thing). The heels were $15. I had the cobbler pull the staple out of the heel and nail it instead. Now, at the year mark, the soles themselves are getting close to needing replacement, which I'll gladly do because I LOVE LOVE LOVE how comfortable these "shoes" are, and how they look.
