I just received #555 in goat and Tony did it again and even better than last time!
I ask him to make a looser fit so I can wear my fleece vest underneath.
And even without the fleece I think it fit me better than #777.
Sorry for the sweatpants but I'm sick at the moment so when I stay at home I don't dress up
How does the colour compare to the shrunken lamb? And does it look like it will distress easily? How soft / drapey is the goat - adn does it have a plasticy feel like some Westeds?
Looks great, and like it would wear like iron......can you post shrunken lamb and the 555 in same picture for color comparison outside....Great choice!!

Uh, I'll say your sick! That looks like a really severe case of Pixelitis! Is it affecting only your head or is it spreading to the rest of your body as well?!?!?! Just kidding!!! ;-)

The jacket looks great!
I'll be careful about the Pixelitis and look for other symptoms....

Compare to the shrunken lamb the color is a shade ligther. I don't think the hide will distress that easily, it is soft and drapey but not like the shrunken lamb. No plasticy feel but a real leather feel to it ;-)
Hatch, no problem I can post a comparison shot tomorrow in daylight.

It's a sickness, I know. But I'm actually selling off some jackets for a couple of purchases I was considering. I was sort of torn between looking at a goat TN or a G and B. Since I got such a good deal on the Expedition, I might try to swing both.
Or my wife might have me swinging from a white pine.
curse you speed! you've got me 'wanting' again!!! i thought i was satisfied with my TN loot....
i love the warmth of that brown hue. beautiful.....han jones, would you say yours is the same colour?
i think it looks great.....and she's in goatskin so you can wear that thing in a firefight and come out unscathed.....as long as there are no 'head shots'.........
enjoy that my friend....it looks sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!
I'll think my shrunken lamb would be too small for you, sorry
Imahomer > As for the size, Tony already have measurements for the shrunken lamb so he just adjust these. And for the shrunken lamb I just gave him the measurement of my Wested wash goat following the schema on Tony's website and photos of me wearing the Wested. Tony do the rest. ;-)
Speed, the natural wrinkling and pebbling in your goat is wonderful. That thing is going to get so nice over the years so hang onto it and wear it as much as you can.
These comparison pics make me appreciate the look of the Shrunken Lamb even more, looks it's been worn for 10 yrs......wonder if TN can come up with a Shrunken Goat., that would be almost invincible !!
This grain isn't really that different from mine Oct 2008 #016....especially back shows it well in sunlight .....pics are on pg 15 of TN replicating ... thread......variable ,linear and differs from area to area........don't think it's a "new batch" just natural variation..ie. just tell TN if you'd prefer less grain or more, ...he's easy to work with.....

I agree. Each is similar but different, and they change the more they are worn.
This is partly why Tony does not send sample swatches of shrunken lamb to anyone.

................back in sunlight shows up best...as has been said digital pics in hands of amateures are hard to make it show what your eyes see in person......
This is Speed's thread on her new goat jacket; there's a 10 plus page thread devoted to the shrunken lamb so why not post about the never ending saga there?
