Make your pattern out of thin cardboard or file folder material

You can't make a purse out of a sows ear, but you can make a holster from an old purse! ;-)

PLEASE keep us posted. I'm thinking of making a holster myself for another project, so I'd love to hear how yours turns out.

Old purses are great sources of good leather... but beware as most of what you'll find are made out of vinyl!

If it's genuine leather, you can sand it down to lighten it and then use some brown shoepolish to change the color a bit.

Kind regards,
Indy

You can aslo go to the goodwill store and pick up old attache cases. Thos are made out of thicker leather, and can yield several holsters.
