Excellent pictures of some Webley WG Army
Nicely detailed pictures of a Webley WG with the bird head style grip like Indy's in LC and CS.

From the main page;
The most noticeable differences between the Mark VI and the WG are the pronounced bird's head grip and the longer grip frame with extra space in front of the trigger guard, although I have also seen WG's with a flat bottom, 'cowboy' style grip.
The Webley Green was supposedly manufactured from 1885 to 1912, with some models chambered for the .450/.455 “Mark I” cartridge while others, including Indy's, were chambered for the .455/.475 Mark II cartridge. Many firearms dealers refer to the Webley Green as a 'Webley 1896 W.G. Army Revolver.'

Great photos and information!
The Webley is a gun I've always wanted to get. I've got several hand guns as well as several long guns, but somehow I just never landed one of these guys.
I guess one of the reasons I don't get it now, is that it would go right into the gun safe. My thought is if I have to put it in the gun safe, why bother to get it? I'm sort of leaning toward getting a good replica, which is something I never thought I'd consider.

Thanks for the info and PICS. I bought my WG from Collector firearms in late August. It is a little better shape than the gun you showed,though I had to get repro grips as the originals were cracked and chipped. One day maybe i'll come across replacement originals in great shape. These guns are indeed getting harder to find and expensive to boot.

I wonder if this is a 1/4 of the price of the full size ones?

Nibs,
Start saving those pennies! I was lucky and got mine for $1,300.00. I won the auction 1 day before they released that first photo of Ford in KOTCS showing him with the WG. Before that photo was released we had no I idea what firearm he would be carrying in KOTCS. I guess I lucked out as since then the price has more than doubled for the WG model.
Oh yeah that one on gunbroker is very nice. Buy it now for only $3,500.00!!
Good Luck!!

Wow this is one really nice WG!

And while this 1896 model is not the bird's head grip, this WG shows nice detail and of the gun open.
