Dear Todd (Todds Costumes...)

Post by Shagbd »

Dear Todd,
I just received one of your Indy shirts in size XL a few days ago.
I have to say i LOVE the shirt.
I typically wear a large in short sleeve shirts, but have rather long arms so usually have to go up to a size XL which resuilts in the shirt being too billowy.... NOT the case with your shirt at all...
This shirt is SO comfortable... perfect weight cloth, perfect body fit, perfect sleeve length...

BUT

The Hem length is too short.

This is a fairly common complaint from what I have read about here about your shirts in general.

Heres my question: can you fix it?

The first run of shirts was somewhat the wrong color, and you fixed that... so it seems to me that you ARE responsive to customer concerns....
The length is just a pretty big deal..
I think if the hem were a little longer, this would be the ABSOLUTE PERFECT shirt!
Id probably buy a dozen of um and wear them all the time because they are so comfortable....

PLEASE consider extending the tails a bit...

Yes, I think I may. I hate to deviate from SA, but I think this might be an acceptable exception, since the alteration really doesn't show when worn.

Todd, if you make the shirt a couple inches longer I will be one of the first to buy a few. I LOVE your shirt and really want to be able to have one that fits!

Same problem with the older MBA shirts...they're just too short.

I hope so. I ordered a replacement shirt as the first one I received was yellowish. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed... :-k Guys, this hobby is like a russian roulette.

I'm not convinced the original shirts Harry wore were all that short.

Not the greatest pictures, sure, but his untucked shirt tail still comes down pretty far, indeed.

For me the length is perfect. I have a medium and am 5'11" and by far it's not the shortest shirt in my closet. Maybe it's a large+ thing.

I think a longer shirt is a good idea. I'd definitely purchase one.

I would be OVERJOYED if you could do this!
again, the XL is the size I have and if it were a few inches longer it would be the perfect shirt!
the color is great, the fit is great , the WEIGHT of the cloth is great!

I have found the shirt to be a tad long! BUT I never dried it before, just hung it up to dry, then last washing decided to dry and it's PERFECT! I can wear it untucked without looking like a tunic now!

I think the shirt is a good length for the untucked look, but I think another inch to half inch longer wouldn't hurt. I wonder if the shirt looks longer in those ROLA photos because he's wearing higher waisted trousers :-k

No, I don't. I'd expect early next year.

Maybe, but I'm mostly looking at how long the shirt looks compared to HF's arms, and it seems to me that the shirt tails are at least as long as Harry's monkey arms in those pics.

I just think it's awesome that Todd is willing to make some changes based on (constant) customer feedback. :)

Is the extra length just for the body, or are the sleeves going to be longer also?
