Webley holster pattern

Post by Indiana Jake »

Can someone direct me to a pattern to use for a Webley style holster? I have found may photos, but I need the shape of the flap when open and the length of the holster is critical to get it right.

Regards,

Jake J

That's the S&W pattern, not the Webley pattern.

Oops, sorry... although you can just smooth out the curved side a little and cut back the cover flap a smidge and you'll have the webley style holster. It'll at least get you close.

Jake, are you looking to MAKE a Webley holster, or just looking to GET a Webley holster? If you're just looking to get a holster, there are a number of good options that only run about $30 or so. IMA has a good holster.

That's exactly what I did before I was able to buy a decent ToD holster. I elongated the S&W pattern in the barrel and used raven oil to darken the leather. Turned out pretty good. I handed it down to my seven yr old nephew (he has a WAY better outfit than I did at that age), but I'll see if I can find a picture.

Gotcha. In that case, if you're hoping to make and sell them, it might make sense to buy a repro and dismantle and make a pattern directly from it.
