Will Walmart gives us a cheap Indy boot?

Bags, Boots, Shirts and all other gear should be discussed here.

Will Walmart gives us a cheap Indy boot?

Post by churchman73 »

With the big opening weekend of Indy, how long will it be before Walmart, Target, etc. come up with an affordable lookalike boot? I'm betting by fall/winter we may see alot more selection for the economically challenged (myself included). I would love to get my hands on that Ultimate Indy Boot from Leather Soul Hawaii, but the $$$ is a bit steep. I believe we've bought cars that actually ran for that much before. Granted, the vehicle didn't look as good as those boots would on me, but traveling long distances was easier!

My first one, a 65 Impala was a little less than $400 when I bought her. I smoked cigars (dad's not with us any more so I can say that!) but the car put them to shame!! I rebuilt the engine and sold it for $1000.00 and worked my way up to a fab 68 Camaro. And I'd have to say that it looked almost as good as the boots. But then again, that was $400 in 1972 so I guess adjusted for inflation the boots are cheaper than any car I've owned. What were we talking about? :- :rolling:

The Rockport Farnums are the closest, cheapest alternatives in my opinion (<$70). And it's a pretty #### good boot, too. If you guys can afford $300+ jackets, you can afford a $70 pair of boots. Wal-mart is only good for buying toiletries.
