Magnoli Adventure Shirt
I received an e-mail from Magnoli yesterday letting me know my Adventure shirt was completed and on it's way (he's great at a lot of things, not the least of which is keeping his customers informed ).
Today it arrived in the mail. I've included some pics of it with my Wested shirt for comparison.
I wondered what would show up after all the strange measurements he asked for, but obviously he knows what he's doing!

Tron
Are you sitting down? (probably, if you are at a computer )gi_canuck wrote:Looking Goood Tron!! Got a question to ask you... How long did it take for it to get here? (From the order to shipping?) I am waiting on mine too... (Ordered about 3 weeks ago)
Ordered February 4th. Worth the wait, but I don't know what is typical as Magnoli let me know that there was some unexpected delay.

As it stands now, the Magnoli is hands down the winner.Fink wrote:That shirt looks really great!
But I’m curious, may I ask you witch one do you prefer? Witch shirt do you find to be your favorite now overall? SA and comfort on mind...
That's not to say I don't like the Wested, but it never fit quite right and will require alterations to come anywhere near the fit of the Adventure shirt. If I order another Wested it will be a size small (current is a M).
I don't know about SA details like pleat size, pocket placement, epaulettes or color, but I personally prefer everything about the Magnoli except, the "wrinkle factor". My Wested wrinkles up to look very much like Indy's shirt in the scene on Sallah's balcony. The Magnoli is a heavier material and after three washings is almost wrinkle free.
I think I might prefer the Wested buttons as well although like I say, I'm far from an SA expert.

I've only got experience with the Wested M (medium) and it's not a tailored or fitted shirt so it's fairly loose. I'm 5'7" and 155lbs and usually a medium will fit OK. I didn't order a Small as I figured a Medium could be taken in if the fit wasn't right.Indywanabe91 wrote:does the large fit slim? and not extra loose?

Thanks.myamoebafriend wrote:Great looking shirt! I've preordered Todd's, but I just hope it looks as good as your Magnoli. I think eventually I will get a Magnoli, it's just a matter of $$$. These Todd's are cheap. And this is kind of off topic, but where did you get your hat from?
The hat is a Magnoli Herbert Johnson.

I've noticed that too with my Magnoli shirt. I just can't get it to wrinkle like Indys . I'm actually kind of envious of your shirt, Tron - mine doesn't have a label and my buttons are white, instead of the color of the shirts (which is stone).Tron7960 wrote: I don't know about SA details like pleat size, pocket placement, epaulettes or color, but I personally prefer everything about the Magnoli except, the "wrinkle factor". No label? Strange. The Buttons on my shirt are sort of semi-transparent, creating the appearance of being uniform with the shirt color at a distance, but don't look quite as good up close.
