If it's single action, its the infantry version. The officer's version was the same, except it was a double action. However, the trigger pull is so insanely heavy that it's impossible to keep your aim when pulling the trigger. You're better off using it as a single action!

I think in this case you could disregard single or double action

Well I think it could be argued it's a single-
use action.
