wearing them

on to the question....use a kitchen sponge..you know the green side and with the colory side yellow, pink, blue what ever..

it will do wonders..but go easy on it...a little by little....and use some pecards on them when finished.

best

It's amazing what a pair of boots will look like after a couple weeks of wearing. You might find that they distress faster than expect, and will be looking for a way to preseve them. I'm with Holt. Wear them outside, don't coddle them.

And if you want to distress them even more quickly, try going for a run while wearing them. That should get them nicely broken in. :junior: -M

No doubt - sand them.

This is Indy-gear, not a fancy dress-thing. I´ve alway given my gear
H+LL - it´s surposed to look like it has been draged through same location.

So go ahead....

Thanks, Holt :D

And You are right - a big part of the energi in this Forum comes
from the different angels of wearing/carring for gear.

I'm clumsy so pretty much the only distressing I've done on my Aldens has been at the toe area where I trip over curbs and bricks and whatnot.

But, I do say that wearing them is probably the best thing you can do, just don't be afraid to get them a little scuffed.

Thanks!

As I recall I used a 120 grain. At bit rough, but that was what I had at hand.
But the main part is to take it slow and easy working Your way to the look You want. Distressing is hard to reverse if You have been to hard on the material.

by the way... for a party I wore my Aldens, just "repaired" with some shoeshine. I was amazed how slick they came to look (for that evening only  )

Best regards
