ROTLA Special Jacket Sizing Question (size 46 or 48)

Post by Arlington Beech »

I was wondering if anyone who owned one of the off the rack ROTLA special jackets in a size 46 or 48 -trying to decide between those two sizes- from Wested would mind doing a few measurements on it (I'm trying to compare it to a leather jacket I have that fits exactly as I'd want the Indy coat to be).

Heres a jacket drawing from the net with the measurements that I'd need drawn on horribly by me in red

Image

and a list of the measurements in case the drawing is too horrible:

1- Sleeve length (shoulder to cuff)
2- shoulder width at back
3- waist width at back (might be the same as 6
4- width across the front of jacket across the chest
5- width across the front of jacket under the arm
6- width of the front at the bottom (waist) of jacket
7- length along the front (from collar to the bottom)

Thank you very much!!!

Why don't you just e-mail Wested and ask them this question?

Since they are the ones who make the jacket, they will have ALL the
info on the measurements you ask for.

Thank you, I did just that after posting here, and am just waiting a reply.

Figured they're probably swamped with orders so it couldn't hurt to try here as well.

Still no word back from wested, though I did just send a PM to Peter in case my emails weren't getting through or something.

Here are the measurements from my 46

1: 25.5"
2: 19"
3: 23"
4: Approximately same as 3
5: Approximately same as 3
6: Approximately same as 3
7: 27"

I normally wear a 44L jacket but up-sized to the 46R since the jacket wasn't available OTR in a 44L and I needed the sleeve and body length. I'm very happy with the fit although I could stand to have it a bit tighter in the body and chest although I'm perfectly happy with the fit considering it wasn't custom made. I think the slimmer cut of the Special offer jacket helped keep the jacket from totally swallowing me up and I absolutely love the look of the sleeves.

If I were you I would go to a mens store and get measured for a suit jacket and just order that size. or send your measurements in and have a size recommended.

I've own an 46 off the rack regular Raiders (not a special one)

1: 25.5"
2: 21"
3: 22.5"
4: 21.5
5: 21.5
6: 21.5
7: 26"

It was supposed to be a 46L, and back lennght should have been 27.5", but it came 26, even shorter than the 46Reg (26.5" according to the sizing table)

I'd like to know if anybody has a 48 (R or L), as I wish to order a LC, and was thinking about a 48 or 50. (I guess LC jacket shoule fit more roomy than Raiders, right?)
If anybody has the measures, please post them. Thanx.
