ToD web buckle is silver!

Now, this may be old news, this may be new news, this may be controversal (sp?) but I was talkin to Indiana Josh and he stated that he believed that the buckle was silver not brass like in Raiders and LC...so I did a little digging...I wasn't able to find a picture but I scanned ToD and found a scene I believe clearly shows the buckle is silver and not brass. It's the scene after Shorty wakes Indy from the "black sleep" it right after Indy knocks a few guys with that big stick and he goes and stands next to Shorty ready to defend more guys...right there you can see the buckle is silver (IMHO) *this is just before Indy goes after Mola Ram...watch and tell me what you guys think...

Could very well be, Henri. I myself replaced the cheap pot-metal buckle that came on my Raiders belt with a much heaver, more solidly constructed US military-issue buckle, which happens to be silver. I prefer it.

See my theory was it was either truely silver or a brass one that they distress so severely that it was down to the silver, but my best bet is it was solide silver in color then distressed.

IMHO, the buckle in Raiders and ToD were both Silver. I never looked into LC, but to me the one in Raiders was definatly silver. But I see what you mean, I agree, it was probably silver. Just wish finding these buckles was easy.

I always thought the Raiders buckle was brass. I looked at the pic on the Indygear mainpage that seemed to verify this.

However, for the sake of argument, is this like the socks issue? Some screen grabs that are black and others that are brown? Anyway, DrJones56, do you happen to have a screen grab that would show the silver color in Raiders? This could prove to get interesting.....

No No folks the Raiders buckle is brass, always has been, always will be. In the LC the buckle is brass, the only one in question is the buckle in ToD, which is most likely a heavily distressed brass, not a solid brass, having some silver color metal underneath. But there is a chance that it was silver, just on ToD.
