Attention anyone who recently purchased a wested, i am curious to know what your final expenses were, im trying to figure out if a new wested will be in the cards before Fall starts. Thanks much!

P.S. In american dollar amounts would be appreciated, or an exchange rate so i can figure it out.

I just bought a 44L dark brown lambskin with the following special requests:
X-Box Stitching on Sliders
Antiqued Brass Zipper
Raiders size pockets
Single Gussets.
My credit card total was $309.06 plus I got hit with a foreign transaction fee by my GM card for $9.18. I imagine that is standard. It just left Wested on Friday so I do not know what my customs charge will be yet. But that should give you a pretty good idea.

From all the post I have read over the last year about Wested is they seem to be a very reasonable and customer oriented company. My hesitation to order the jacket over the last year has never been over dealing with Wested. I am just scared if I made a mistake I will not be able to part with it. I have had nightmares the last couple of weeks that the sleeves were extremely too long. I just hope if Wested left those charges off it was intended and not by accident. I would not want them to feel I was taking advantage of them.

Your best bet, is to try on some suit jackets, in a size that is comfortable for you, and get a perfect sleeve measurement from that. I made the mistake of ordering sleeves TOO short on my first Wested. I figured 23" would be good,....seems 25" would have been perfect.
The other thing, if you guess a little long, you could always get them shortened locally. It would cost a few bucks, but alot cheaper than sending the jacket back to Wested.
Good Luck

When I talked to Gemma about 2 weeks ago I asked her how much the total cost would be for a jacket with rectangular sliders, x box stitching, and gussets, and it came out to be just the jacket + shipping + £5 charge for the gussets. The stitching is free now and the sliders are actually an option on the order page - also free.Kt Templar wrote:Krusch, looks like you weren't charged for any extras. That works out at about £167. take away 20 for postage. That's £147. There should have been a £5 charge for the gussets and perhaps for the pockets too. Well done!
I'm looking forward to more than likely ordering my Wested within the next coupla days!!
