Congratulations on the Wested arrival! Sorry to hear you have to wait, but it will be WELL worth it.

There's a good photo of the cotton jackat AT the Wested site, and if you go to some of the previous discussions, I believe Indy McFly posted some really good ones of his.
:D

Totally understood, my friend.

Oh, they don't come with the cordoury collar anymore unless you ask for it. The collars are like the rest of the jacket now, and look MUCH better that way.

It was what they had on hand at the time. The photo at the site was of the first jacket made (prototype), which was sent in my direction to test. The jacket, for some odd reason, got delivered to VANBERBILT UNIVERSITY in Nashville, TN. The address I GAVE them was The University of Tennessee Space Institute in Tullahoma, TN. APparently since both universities were in Tennessee, that was close enough.

Anyway, some yahoo in the mailroom at Vandy signed for the jacket, and it was NEVER seen again. So, there's someone in Nashville wearing the stolen cotton prototype seen in that photo.

A second prototype was made (just like that one), then sent again to my CORRECT address, and with a few suggestions made, the current jacket came out. I know a few were made with that collar, but not very many. It's still an option (and actually quite comfortable!), but it's not standard anymore.

I'd like to see the jacket available in some different colors. A nice dark khaki would be nice. I just never cared much for the brown color its offered in now.

I have a bunch of pictures of me in my cotton wested, which I wear in the summers here.
Here's one from Hawaii last year:

Dang, Ghost, that looks nice. Though, in terms of a cloth jacket, I sure wish there was a high quality replica of Solo's ESB jacket available. Anybody happen to know of one? (Feel free to PM, don't want to derail this...)

Thanks, Lord Macdonald and Michaelson!
It was your original review, Michaelson, that convinced me to get the cotton in the first place!
