Indy dress boot

Post by Rundquist »

Last week I got a pair of the Alden 86's from my man Frederick of "Frederick's Basic Shoe" in Sherman Oaks, Ca (I've got to plug the man that sold Harrison his first pair of 405's in the pre Indy 1970's). They're really cool. I just thought that I'd make those that might be interested aware of their existence. You can wear them "only on special occasions", or not (grin). They are part of the "Truebalance Last" trio, along with the 405. They aren't on the San Fran site but are on the regular Alden site. Below should be a link. I'll try to post picks soon. If you are thinking about a pair, try giving the man that sold Harrison Ford on the on the virtues of the Alden a call, but not this week. He's on vacation. Cheers

Nice shoes, Rundquist! Did Indy change his shoes in ROTLA? I assume he did for the 'suit scene' at the end -are these the style he wore? Also -like the gray fedora -what's the make?

Just curious...

To me, they look almost fake. But, I know they are the real deal.

Nobody knows what Indy wore with his suit. I just figured that the Alden 86's were in the same family as the 405's and just reasoned that the Indy character might have worn these for dress. Actually, I know that the 86's were around in the 30's, which I don't think that the 405's were. Cheers

If I remember correctly, they're about $20 cheaper than the 405's. Cheers
