help with cleaning a jacket

Post by belle »

I just noticed I have a big ink pen mark on my Wested Raiders jacket. Does anyone have a good way I can clean this off without ruining the jacket?

I just got the jacket and will feel much better if I can get this off.

Thanks,
Belle

I might contact peter at Wested and tell him, he may have the best answer.
getting ink out of cloth is one thing, leather is alltogether a different animal..

As silly as it may sound, sour(ed) milk might do the trick with washing off with soaped water and then rinsing it in just water. This applies to fabric materials at least. Might be worth a short as it will not harm the leather as some chemicals might. Then again, it might be worth it handing the jacket in to a pro instead. ;)

Good luck!

I can vouch for milk removing ballpoint pen (from fabric, at least). I've even used non-fat milk and it took out a stain in seconds. Just rub it into the fabric and viola!

I don't know about leather, though.
