Dominion Geographic Society Field Camp, circa 1921
Or maybe my Akubra slouch hat, yesterday.
Anyone else still wearing the Montana Peak from time to time?

I looked back through the entire topic before posting, and I still like the fun of your "camping action" photo, Canyon!Canyon wrote:davidd, that is an awesome picture! Thanks for sharing.

cm289, brilliant!
One tiny suggestion, get yourself a vintage look leather strap watch.

Now that's an impressive uniform! Wow! Lookin' sharp, indeed!
Any chance you could detail some of the pieces you're wearing? Is that official "scout issue" gear, or WWI repro?

Re: Montana Peak Bash - Let's See 'Em, Scout!
Aside from the hat, which is vintage BSA Stetson, the rest is repro WWI. You may already know this, but BSA wore Army pattern uniforms in the beginning. I haven’t been able to find an authentic 1910s BSA jacket in my size, but I have a 1930s one that I wear to formal events. Looks like a USMC Service Alpha, but slightly lighter shade of green.davidd wrote:Now that's an impressive uniform! Wow! Lookin' sharp, indeed!

Finally got my Hamilton fixed (I dropped it and shattered the crystal). Next vintage pics will be more authentic-ishIndiana Jeff wrote:cm289, brilliant!
