Hi and welcome.

the legnth and sleeve length on my jacket are what I personally see on screen.

I'll do some full gear shots with this one soon. and I will compare them to the original a side by side shot

okay, here she is in all her glory.

I gave her a full LC distress make over without overdoing it and I love it even more now then what I did before.

this is Horsehide and it was extremely tuff to break down. I was extremely carefull around the seams. not one stitch got hurt.

I am gonna take some screen grabs and do a comparo with the original so you can see the lenght. but first, here she is.

Holt, fantastic pics! Don't get me wrong, I think your jacket looks great. I particularly like the distressing that highlights the seams like the screen jacket. I just noticed - with some reassurance - that yours is short like mine when most LC jackets posted are longer and it now seems me that the screen version was longer (I recently saw pics of a Belstaff CS where the front came level with the sleeves when the arms are straight down.) For myself, I prefer the short length. I'm not overly worried about SA, but in that respect I think our choice of length is shorter than the screen version.

the LC jacket was around 25.5'' - 26'' backlenght, mine is at that. the temple of doom was the longest of the jackets.

if you want a screen accurate LC jacket you get that if your at Fords height. 6'1- 6'2? I'm 6'2 so the ''original'' LC jacket length works for me.

Great comparison! I'm convinced that at least that screen jacket was short like I'd thought for years. Do you know if some others were longer, or was I just seeing things recently when I got the impression that, at least in some scenes, the jacket is longer?

My jacket has a 25 back, so that explains why I feel it's shorter than the screen version, but then I'm a lot shorter than you and Ford, standing at just 5' 9, so does that compensate?

Fateoftheduck, I'm aslo 5'9 with a 25 back & it fits perfect. Remember that ford wore his pants high on his waist whice makes the jacket appear longer.

That's one great lookin jacket holt! I just got my custom LC in lamb the other day, I used some of your specs and I think it came out nice. The pockets are perfect. The lamb also appears to be VERY thick ,so when I give her some distressing I think it'll look the part. Post some pics soon.

Thanks, dresden! I love my jacket anyway, but if it turns out the length is SA too, so much the better..

Here's a pic from when it was new (see the dramatic difference between the sleeve length and body, which is bigger than on anyone else's posted jackets I've seen except for Holt's)

Holt, that is a fantastic jacket, a treasure. Love the pattern, color, even the distressing. HH is a cool look for the LC!

Holt- that jacket's color is just about perfect! I can't tell from the pics, but in the spots you wore down, what was the undertone of the leather? Brownish or more greyish?

I had a HH Wested LC spec as well that I ended up selling, just didn't fit right...from about 2007 I believe, and the color of it was well, weird. It was a very, very dark brown with almost a charcoal tone to it. I tested an inside piece to distress, and it was a very obvious grey underneath.

Ok! I just reealised it wasn't the Belstaff but photos of the US Wings CE I was thinking of. And people generally say that the LC is longer than the Raiders, so I thought mine was too short. (I managed to get my photo up in an edit above).

wested has two shades of HH. reg brown and dark brown.

now, the reg brown is very dark and almost charcal yes. to get it this brown like in the pics above I had to rubb of alot of color and make it lighter.

the dark brown HH is grey blackish.

undertones are grey brownish on both but takes on a browner tone after a water soak and some pecards.

ok. I see but IMO the US Wings jacketa are alittle too long for being SA to any of the films.

That's horsehide, dark brown though it looks almost black unless outdoors in sunlight. Raiders colour I guess (my new Wested Hero in Seal Brown goat is the exact same colour).

I love the horsehide. Beautiful finish and feels substantial.



Warm Brown wasn't an option when I was ordering in January this year. That's a much closer colour to the screen version - yours is great.
