My jacket is done, so I should have it after the holiday! Light and strong is exactly what I'm looking for on this one.

It's great to hear how pleased you are with it - it really is a great feeling, something you can be proud to own, and wear it tough.

Just busting you. There have been some great photos of the 747 already.

How do you like that lining? I think that's one of the best parts - feels great yet isn't at all wimpy.

wow. That is exceptional. Interesting that it soaks up water. It looks like it should shed it. It looks very supple. A great texture and cut.

It's really looking great.

I love that leather

When you say 'soaks up' water do you mean as in sopping, or just the surface?
I think I'd wear it longer before I applied anything, but it's up to you.

not sopping but you can see the surface is darker where the water is..

Question for all owners...
Are your jacket sleeves straight or do they bend at the elbow?
Mine have an elbow bend that makes a difference with the way the jacket feels and wears
not a bad thing just want to know whats out there
thanks 8)

Looks great!.....from afar, it looks a little like my shrunken lamb in texture. I'm definately going to order one this fall when the weather cools off. (and when my wallet recuperates).

That jacket is gorgeous, maybe the best i have seen so far (IMO). I will say that your leather has less shine than Whiskey's, which to me works really well.

The little changes you made to it really sells the look.

How much was that one?

I can confirm this is FANTASTIC leather and beyond what I expected from the sample I had. Below is a close-up of the pocket flap from mine that arrived yesterday. I'd describe the leather as vintage like from a well-worn old jacket. Very soft.

Heyjude, give Tony a ring before applying Pecards. Cow will soak up water faster than goat but there's a lot of natural oils in this leather already. I'd only put the gel on it so the color doesn't change.

Long time since my last real post but i had a question, the back panel on the raiders, is it suppose to taper? I guess over the years mine has tapered not a whole lot but a few inches... is this normal?

ALways good to see you Ol' Friend!

Thats what i figured about it. it has that tapered look (in my eyes) but i am still happy with my jacket! i baby it now.. i was hard on it until, well ya know, and now im in the market for another jacket to wear in between wearing this and my Vanson X-1

Any suggestions, Senor Holt?

I know I know reviving a really old thread but does anyone have the chart that Tony Nowak has on his website that I used for the measurements in the first post of this thread. I can’t find it for some reason and the way back machine didn’t help at all. Thank you all in advance
