You didn't start a thing, my friend. You did, in fact, open my eyes to something today, and I thank you for that.

HIGH regards! Michaelson

Oh yes, that we cannot say a word about certain things and that I'm officially the baddie in the forum. Very good.

no worries. Your question was legitimate. To answer to you, I tend to agree with Dutch_jones, since all the hats (exception for the Stetson in a scene of the trimotor part) were HJs, it's likely that they were 5.5" tall. The screengrabs Dutch posted shows that, at least to my eyes. And if you pay attention all through the movie, the hats looks as tall as Raiders in most of it. Just a different bash.

Well,
I guess this is directed toward Michaleson as much as anyone else...
Thank YOU!
I personally love the stories of how things came to be...like Fedora's story of the KOTCS hat. I never would have known where to look for the stetson if not for this thread. As I type this, Indy has just arrived in india, and I have noticed the Stetson for the very first time...ever.
It is not about doubting you or other admin...but a desire to know the story behind the story. It would be a wonderful thing to hear the rest of your stories as well. Collect them in a sticky somewhere.
All that excellent detetctive work would make batman proud.
Please share more.

Hard for me to tell just how tall that hat is, but I'm totally saving this cool picture. 8)

A lot of the TOD fedoras definitely look shorter to me. Must be something to that.

the question is. Who would make a lower crown fedora that would fit the bill for this hat (TOD).
