Finally got my own Bapty!
After watching gunbroker for a while I found a Smith & Wesson 1917 civilian version that was in pretty rough shape. I was able to buy a Ruger Blackhawk sight and cut and file it down close enough to the correct dimensions. I was also able to get some reproduction 1917 grips to install. Cut the barrel, installed the sight and I couldn't be happier! Planning to take it to the range today.
