New to Magnoli Adventure Jackets
Hey all! Long time lurker, first time poster. I was recently able to score a pretty great deal on an overstock Magnoli Clothiers Adventure jacket in the Raiders configuration. So far, I have been able to uncover very little about this jacket online, and knew you fellas would certainly have the answers I seek. First, and most importantly to me, what is the accuracy of Magnoli’s Raiders jacket? Is the pattern based on a specific version? And how does the community as a whole feel about it? My jacket should be arriving in the next couple weeks and I’m super excited, and if anyone’s interested I’ll share pics. Cheers!

There’s no shortage of rave reviews here about Magnoli’s work.

I haven’t owned any leather jackets from them, but I did see one of my friend’s a few days ago and it looked pretty solid. His was a raiders in cow. I’m not sure if I’ve seen one of their jackets with a Ribby lamb like was used in the film though.

I'm not a stickler for screen accuracy, so I can't comment on that. However, I have owned two Magnoli jackets that loved dearly. They were well made, fit great, and remain my favorites to this day. I still feel the sting of having to sell them.

Give it time and Magnoli himself will probably answer. A regular here

I wasn't planning on responding myself... just let you guys answer from a third-party perspective. But now that you've summoned me... the main thing with our jackets is they are all made-to-measure and the standard line can be fully customized any way you want. Happy to discuss details via PM or e-mail. Or feel free to ask questions here as well.

Thanks so much for the reply! My main question is how was the pattern for your Raiders “version A” made? Is it based on any specific version of the jacket in Raiders (or maybe a Wested/Kelso), or is it a more generalized “Raiders-style?” I just got the notification this morning that my Adventure jacket finally arrived in the states and I’m so excited to wear it! Yes, our Model A is a general Raiders pattern based on an amalgam of images from the first film.
