It may not be "screen accurate," but that is one cool jacket! The lining is AWESOME. Great color too! And don't worry about not having a proper Indy jacket yet, I'm still looking for one myself  I've been in the Indygear world for about 5 years, and I've been building my gear piece by piece. The jacket is one of the last things I need to get, along with some proper boots.
Thanks for sharing! :TOH:

Agreed. Thats a very cool jacket!

Interestingly enough...

"Botwright brought several jackets to Fitting session with Ford, and it was determined that he would use his existing “James Dean” pattern with the addition of A2 pockets and an action pleat based on the Western Costumes mock-up,"

Thats a direct quote taken from the Indygear site regarding the Raiders jacket.

Manwiththehat, that is one cool jacket! I wanted to say how close it looks to an Indy one and then I read Canyon's note, so it all makes sense.

Canyon, great stuff, I don't remember reading that when perusing the site.

Nice jacket, and most won’t realize it’s not a the jacket, the hat it what pulls it off, the whip, the holster, the shirt, the pants………. Oh what fun it is to put the gear together.
My first Indy jacket was a A2 with cuffs and I thought I was all that.

Hope to see you in a picture with the gear you have, you’ll find nothing but support here.

By the how old is that jacket, has a nice lived in look.

Thanks :D The jacket is pretty new.I bought it on a marked I was visiting.I always liked James Dean's movies and When I looked at it looked quiet similar to the raiders jacket except the big pockets so I wasn't letting my chance slip away :) When it comes to the whip I don't think I dare order that one since I'm not sure if whips are legal in Norway and a lot of people would maybe think I got some bizarre hobbies if I wear on in public

I hear regarding the whip, but for me, the hat and jacket are an everyday wear, with sometimes the shirt.
No odd looks and if there was, misa not care (in JarJar voice.

Well, that's awesome, Manwiththehat. I always wear a hat, too (except when it's so cold that my neck hurts), but all of mine are Indy hats. ;)

That's a nice jacket

As for close enough for costumes, I've worn a brown cotton jacket as Indy and never had anyone mistake the look.

I do like that James Dean jacket.

What is the other jacket you are wearing in the Advintage thread. It looks like it has corduroy on the collar and has the knits.

Thanks :) The other jacket is a Man by Ellos jacket.Ellos is a Swedish postal order and online trading company. The quality is oki-ish but it's a bit shiny and It's rather heavy. It was the only leather jacket I had in dark brown before I bought the James Dean jacket.

Looking good out there!

What's the satchel you're carrying? I like the look of it.

Reminds me of Lake of the Clouds in Michigan's Porcupine Mountains. If so, you're living in some fine country. :TOH:
