Cool. I noticed that the inside collar has a seam running along the top which doesn't appear on my Wested ToD jacket and are the pockets particularly high on this one?

Thanks for sharing that link. Great look at this jacket!
The pockets don’t seem quite as small on this as they sometimes do.

The interesting part to me is when they show the front shoulder close-ups. The leather is a very close match to the washed-lamb Wested uses. It has a distinct marbled grain that has been pressed smooth (and then distressed and stunt-damaged). It’s the first time I’ve seen that grain type turn up in an original jacket.

Wouldn’t it be fun if this auction jacket that Vic Armstrong wore in TOD turned out to be this jacket…

Re: Adam Savage Indy's Leather Jacket Details
It’s interesting NOTHING was mentioned that Wested had NOTHING to do with TofD as Peter himself stated he had been blackballed from film projects for a while by B&N as he had taken on a Bond film without their participation or approvaL.
He did not participate on any part of TodD.
So, the jacket in question, though used in Temple, was actually a Raiders stunt jacket brought by the stunt double, was his personal jacket, made by Wested, and WOULD have the B&N tag.

It’s interesting that Wested made an assortment of jackets for Raiders that had both large and small yokes. Any chance that Harrison is wearing Vic’s jacket in the photo above?

Lots of discussion and debate over that Bantu Wind jacket all these years, that’s for sure.

Interesting that the label in the video says Raiders II and states that it is Berman and Nathans not Leather Concessionaries. Perhaps this is the proverbial “leather shirt” in Temple and it’s origin.
Either:
1. Vic’s version here was one that was made/ labelled for Temple in early preproduction while it was still called Raiders II before Cooper took over. If so, then contrary to the main page article, it wouldn’t be a Raiders original that carried over but another run.
2. Similarly, maybe it’s the Cooper mock up under B and N referred to in the main jacket page:
“ Cooper’s design was virtually identical to the cloth Raiders mock-up made by Western Costumes (WC). The Cooper design had the short bi-swing pleat opening, smaller pockets, and slightly lower shoulder yoke design of the WC mock-up. This mock-up was, at the time of pre-production on Temple of Doom, in the property of Berman and Nathans. ”
3. Or maybe a relabelled Raiders leftover? Would seem odd to put Raiders II though on the tag if it was from the first.
