Hey Bear,

I have a 46 chest (measured, and I usually fit into 46 off the rack for suits) and I'm 5'11" and about 220, with 25" sleeve from shoulder seam to cuff.

I wear the XL and it fits as pictured in the attachment.

I hope that is helpful!

Yup, that helps a lot! Thank you! :TOH:

Just nabbed the last XL and got a classic one too, for good measure.

Croft! I am going to inquire - it should totally be possible, but I don't want to confirm yet before I iron out all the details with the cut/sew facility. I am going to update a few things, and they're usually really open to changing up the design.

Canyon! Thanks! They are going to be deeply discounted for Black Friday and Cyber Monday! :whip:

I also got the images of the wool blend trouser test pair with the swatch matched color. Very excited about these!

Those wool blend pants look great! Especially the rear pocket placement. I have a few pairs of pants from other vendors and while all other details are spot on, the pockets are just placed to far away width-wise and they make my posterior look wider than it should! So says the missus. :D

Going to have to check out these officer pants, I love the color.

Will the sale start at midnight? I'm seriously considering grabbing one of these blazers too.
I'm curious on the sizing - I noticed the size 42 says a 43.5" bust, which is just a hair larger than my chest size. Is the sizing based on the wearer's measurement or the fabric? E.g. should I go for that or size up do you think?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey! If you're on the cusp of that size, I would recommend sizing up first. All the Surplus Line items are eligible for return/exchange within 30 days if in new condition, so if you need to swap a size, thats no issue! But my rec would be to size up first.

I'd LOVE to do tall sizes, but its tough to start a new line because of the initial investment and then having space for the inventory. :(

So just asking, your comment above about Black Friday discounts, is that scheduled for cyber Monday.
Or are the prices on your site reflecting the discounted price?

Croft - The prices on my Etsy shop should show ya what is on sale there (a lot is 20% off until December). My site's a little different because the fees and such are different and I have been playing around with a few things to try to drive traffic there vs. Etsy. So there may be some "loss leaders" on my site at the moment. :whip:

I'm about 5 shirt orders away from submitting the order, so I am going to reach out this week to discuss a few things about this run. I'll be able to confirm the length soon!

But my plan for this run is to do the same fabric color, with the 35mm placket and pleat like the recent run of Classics, and changing the button color to olive, and hopefully increasing the length.

I also have a run of Berlin shirts coming in 2024. I am in contact with a US based cut and sew facility as I'd like to move some manufacturing to the US for a host of reasons but it'd be great to not have a time difference.

Well catch 22 senerio, if the shirt is longer in length I’m in.
But if it’s the 31” like other, not so interested.

Will be watching, mean while I have to pull the trigger on two separate orders.

Thank you! There are some notable differences on the blouse from Marion's, but I'm really happy with how they turned out!

I didn't post it here or update the Indy specific groups because it's gear towards another character, but thank you for the kind words!

It was a really interesting project!

All right - I am in contact with my rep about the changes to the Cairo shirts (including adding about 2 inches of length) and they should get back to me soon.

I just need 4 more preorders to cover the balance on the order. Even if you aren't on this run, sharing really helps!

The trousers are also in production. Because the wool was a special run, I will have about 300 pairs on this run :[ If I wasn't covering the balance on the trousers, I would commit to the shirts, but I have...more tied up in the trousers than Id like to admit :CR:

But the final look at the samples looked great. I think folks will be happy with them.

Okay! I am just about to send payment to the cut/sew facility for the Cairo shirts.

I confirmed the color fabric, buttons, length, and epaulet length with them.

We are adding *10cm to the length*, the fabric color will be about the same as the last two runs (dye lots always vary), olive buttons (same shape and size as the other shirts) and the longer epaulets.

The epaulets are tricky because they need to be sized to fit each size shirt, so the position will vary a bit size to size.

Thanks gang!

So if I’m doing the conversion correctly, your adding 3.93” which is close to 4”
Wow, that would be awesome, is this correct?

If it is I’m in for one L

Yes! About 4 inches in length.

I'll also bought back a few dozen shirts from previous runs, so I will have some Berlins in as well! Not sure what the sizes will be though

I just placed my order for a SoC pre-order.
If the length is 4” longer, I’m psyched to get it.

Have another question about the preorder pants, my last two that I bought in 34 fit perfect, are the 34 the same size on the preorder.

Overall, the wool trousers will have most of the same measurements.

The edits I made were the rise in the crotch, and a slight taper at the knee vs the straight cut.

All the other measurements I provided were the same.

Now in production, there will always be some +|- but that's to be expected in manufacturing.

But the sizing was consistent across the Cairo Olive and Desert Grey, so I am confident in the sizing on the wool blend :whip:

There are a few hardware bits that will be swapped for ones that ship, but I am pretty happy with it! I also have options on etsy for different colored elastic and right side construction.

Hey gang,

Confirmed with the facilities that the shirts and trousers should be done before the national holiday.

Thank you again (seriously!) for the patience on the trousers. The wool really threw everything for a loop. I can't understate how much the ongoing support means!

I will also be doing a run of hats in 2024. Those are pretty tough on my hands, but I get a lot of inquiries on my Raiders hat. So if you're interested in a floppy rabbit raiders lid, keep an eye out!

Oh no,

This would be lunar new year coming up in a few weeks. Id be more than upset if it was July #-o

Ive made maybe 2 dozen hats for folks over the last few years. These would be the same felt and design as the ones I wear in most pics. The felts are very lightweight rabbit and flop like Raiders hats quite well and get a nice crisp front pinch. Now, they are certainly not the most well made hats, there are plenty of AMAZING hatters these days, but I do my best.

The felts have kinda exploded in price. With all the love Indy is getting and being a natural material, the squeeze is on. So the felts are looking to be about $100 each. So with labor and such, I'm hoping to get them at $375 putting them at a price point that I think reflects the quality and design.

They'll be the same design as the hat pictured in the photos I posted of the shoulder holster prototype. I do plan on getting a new brim block, but they'll be pretty darn Raiders, ei imperfect with a lot of character. The more you work this felt, the better it looks IMHO. That one has been reblocked, steamed to ####, shellaced, etc. :whip:

Hey gang,

The trousers are JUST about to ship - I just have to pay the freight costs.

The Cairos are in production - should be done by February!

I was looking at hopefully bringing the next run of Berlin shirts to the US after finally finding a cut/sew facility in the US. Unfortuntaely with all the expenses I have had lately, I can't afford the capital to get the ball rolling (the sample is over 1K if I provide materials) so it just cant happen this run.

BUT the new run for Berlins are up on my site (https://karolian-dry-goods.myshopify.co ... t-preorder) for preorder. These will have the same updates as the Classic and the Cairos with the 35mm placket and pleats, and I will increase the length on these as well.

Thanks for lookin, and as always, thank you SO much for the patience with the trousers. The wool really kicked my butt.
