I bought a pair of the olive and waist size is true.
But you’ll probably have to find a seamstress to shorten them, I did and they came out great.

I think that's wise. I have a pair of each and personally find them a little bigger than true size, a little loose compared to other trousers in the same size. I like the roominess but others may not. :)

I definitely enjoy the roominess, especially since I plan to use the pants for hiking and yardwork mostly. I do the same with the Indy shirts, keep them for dirty work. Nothing can happen to them, they just become more screen acurate. :rolling:

When you say "true to size" do you mean your measured waist or your retail size (like off the shelf jeans)? Thanks, Croft!

I take 33 which fits me best.
A 34 is bigger on my, not much because his pants have a little elastic to them.
Not enough for me to try to get a 32
Rather have the room.
And I just pulled the trigger on some gray pants, which I’ll have to have shortened.

One question for the gloves: are they made to be used, or just for cosplay? I like to use all my gear as much as possible.

I got some Wested ones last week and they are already falling apart at the seams. :(

I bought a pair and while they’re not Well Lamont, that are a nice close enough.
The leather is thick enough for using for work/play to get the look.
Leather is not thin, but has a nice feel.
How ever, don’t spend the extra on the large stamp.
One, it’s goldtoned and it’s the whole word and if memory serves me it should just be L

But they’re worth it.

Ind6 Magnoli is more for cosplay.

Hey all,

Getting some green screening set up so I can do video comparisons of different gear. Figured it would be easier to see them all move in the same lighting conditions.

Starting with Raiders, but still working on my Crusade (but I wanted a video with the Berlin shirt)

In regard to the gloves!

They are real work gloves - moved many...many...2ft by 2ft pavers with them last weekend.

They certainly aren't the most robust gloves, but they're full grain cowhide with a cotton bias.

As for the stamp, my stamp could stand to be a bit larger, but the Well of Souls version were what I used to replicate. The WL seem to vary a bit. I have a pair with embossed sizing on the cuff and the logo embossed on top.

I think I read here that Todd's Costumes has a screen used pair? Maybe they can chime in!

Correction on a previous comment I made.
I just looked at screen grabs web site.
And it does say Large.

My apologies sir.
Can you do the wording in a darker color?

I have received my long awaited pair of desert gray Indy trousers today. What a spectacular job of picking the right fabric and color you've made Adam!

Now off to the seamstress to get the sizing right.

Thank you for that fantastic piece of gear \:D/

PS.
Are they 100% cotton? Is machine wash in 30 Celsius degrees okay for them?

I’ve washed mine in cold, dry low heat and i experienced no shrinkage.
Mine go to the seamstress next week, she a busy lady.

And yes the color is perfect, the cotton is perfect too.

The trousers on the left (Raiders gear) are the Desert Grey. The Crusade pair are a sample I had made but aren't available. They're pretty much a standard khaki color!

I was so happy with the pants, I ordered three more pairs: 1 desert grey, two olive. I couldn't resist, really loved the thick cotton twill.

I chose one size smaller this time. Let's see how they fit me.

Mine came back from the seamstress. I had her taken a bit in the waist and down the leg. As much I like Indy gear and I like wearing it, I can't get over the bagginess of the pants. I prefer the slim fit, so I altered my pair. I'll take some pics when I get the chance.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your customized pants! :TOH:

I kind of like the baggy feel, it's less restricting. And I will mostly use mine for hiking, biking and yard/garden work, so it helps to have some freedom.

I need to shorten them about 4 inches, but I saw that if I just bend the military hem again they are just right, so I will do this myself. I'll post pics when they are done.

And I will make a separate post also, as I finally have a full set of Indy gear to show off. I had been missing the pants. (I made two pairs myself some years ago, but they were nowhere near as great as these. \:D/

Finally got around to shortening the pants, just one pair for now. I think in the future I will need to also take them in at the waist, but for now it works.

looks like you nailed the length.
Hoping mine come back soon.

These are very comfortable pants, lovethe Todds I have, but cotton is so much more comfortable to wear.
They look the Indy vibe and at the same time the don't. :-k
Does that make sense. ;)

Thanks, Croft! :TOH: The fact they are cotton is what sold me on them. They are very comfy!

And, YES, that makes total sense. I think it is because I am short and chubby/stocky, 5 foot 8 and size 40 waist, and this affects the dimensions and look of the trousers. :rolling:

Yes I too fit that description, but with a 33/34 waist.
Once mine are in, i'll take some shots, geared up naturally.
I can remember a time when wearing a khaki shirt and cargo pands and a wool fedora and I was the man.

Now when have so many offerings, I have closet full of gear and I love wearing it "alot"

Looking forward to the shots! I think you might need to shorten them too, then. Mine were around 4 inches too long for my walking sticks. :-k

I know what you mean! At first I said I would only wear the hat, so as not to draw too many "Hey, Indiana Jones" shouts on the street. But now I usually have wear the boots, fedora, bag and jacket, at a minimum... Really hard not to use the gear..and why shouldn't we? It is SO enjoyable!

Will do a "photoshoot" in full gear too, can't wait. My first one with complete gear.

Just got my new package with the officer pants and the two pairs of olive drab pants. Unfortunately due to the higher value they reached the Customs Post Office, but I reached the package eventually. It was a great choice going one size down, the 38 size fits me better.

And I LOVE the olive drab version just as much as the officer pants. Amazing stuff, really glad I got them!

Hey guys!

Warms my heart to see so many of you receiving and enjoying the gear!

To free up some capital for future Adventure (and beyond) products, I am going to be doing a new version of the "Classic Shirt" with an updated fabric color, and a wider pleat/placket. There has been some creep over the different runs. Having to do them in such small batches (~100 per design) it is like a reset every run. So I will do specific designs rotating over the year. That way we arent trying to keep up with several slightly different designs over production.

I also have the pre-order for the Sri Lanka TOD Blazer up on my website! I really wanted to avoid another preorder, but it will be inevitable for these higher cost items.

Cant wait for the 30th!

Man these are so comfortable.
Pictures soon.

Updated shirt, hmmmm, any chance you get them made a little longer in the torso.
Mine keeps coming untucked.

I can definitely look into making these longer!

It will take a bit of time to get the capital to do the second Classic run, so I have some time with my rep before production begins. I may also slightly alter the button color (going a little more green) if we can. It's tough to photograph the true color of the fabric I chose, but I would like just a little more contrast between the fabric and buttons.

Here's pictures I took today, over cast and yet they sorta washed out, tried messing with adjusting them to get them as accurate as I could.
Will try again on a sunny day to see if they come out better.

HJ SoC rabbit
Karolian SoC shirt
PenitentMan strap attached to a VII H&G satchel
Brown web belt
Not sure of the maker of the holster.
S7W M1917 with modified 4" barrel and custom site from Lostinperiphaery
Whip Man 10'' whip with non SA wrap around whip holder also from PenitentMan.
Karolian grey cotton pants (which are awesome to wear, so comfortable)
Alden 405 shoes.

And one I played with, good ol black & white.

So I measured three shirts tonight.
Just the back from the collar stand to the bottom.

Karolian: site says 31”

MBA: 30-1/2”

Azuma: 32”

So if you could make the new shirt length at 32”, that’d be awesome.
But this is just my two cents.

Hey all!

Things have been very busy, so I've been juggling a lot of platforms!

Yes! The second run Classic shirt is due to land in ~2 weeks! They'll be the same design as the first run, but a slightly wider pleat and placket (35mm) and the newer sizing.

They will also be made in a new fabric (same line as the Berlin, Cairo, and Destiny)

The color is closest to the Azuma Raiders shirt I have from ~2020. I did a line up on a FB group - I'll try to find the comparison photos to all the Indy shirts I have.

I also have the new run of wool blend trousers in order! They will be a different more accurate cut than the modernized cotton trousers.

The color is a custom dyed wool blend that will be the same color as the Desert Grey.

The Sri Lanka blazers are also ready, just waiting for them to arrive at the office!

Hey gang,

The second run of Classic shirts arrived! Very happy with them! I made a few updates to them and the color is really fantastic (in my opinion anyways) very similar to the first run, but olive undertones vs. pink undertones.

Hey! Still working on the fabric for this run. Getting some color samples in soon - I want to verify the color before we get into production.

I may do another cotton run in 2024 - but the demand will have to be there for me to put up the capital. Unfortunately, the Olive will not have another run as that fabric manufacturer folded. :(

I‘ve been using my gloves now almost everyday for over a month and couldn’t be happier.
It’s good to have a solid protection when you’re out with your dog on daily walk including messing around with wet fur, large sticks, dog poop or other ingredients.
Pretty adventurous stuff 🤭🤩😍

A little unknown for an exact date on the trousers.

We will have a better idea once the material is manufactured! I'll be sure to post updates when I get new info!

Hey All,

Small update on the wool trouser blend.

I deeply apologize for the lead time on this run - we are still working out the wool color. I sent them a swatch of a fabric I used to sew a pair several years back (unfortunately it looks like it's not manufactured anymore, or I'd have started there hah)

The last round of swatches I received from the mill were too cool/green in color.

So they will have a physical item in hand to do the dye, as opposed to the Pantone color.

That said, if anyone wants a refund due to the lead time, just give me a shout! I don't want anyone feeling like their cash is tied up while I sort this out with the mill.

Thank you!

Hey all!

I approved the color for the wool blend trousers this morning!

The sample I sent really helped vs the pantone, and the three options they sent were all great, but the values of the one I selected seemed to balance everything best.

Top is the color I selected, and the bottom is the sample swatch I sent.

Take the photos with a grain of salt as lighting/screens etc always effect these things, but the two images were taken with the samples stapled to the same sheet of paper. I just cropped them and juxtaposed them for comparison.

Thank you all for being so patient on this run. It means so much to me that ya'll have confidence in my work!

Also! I need to make room for these trousers, so I have the DoD shirts on a deep sale on my site (www.karoliandrygoods.com) This will be the remainder of the DoD style for me for now.

What is the sizing like for the DoD shirts? I do not find a sizing chart. I am 46 inches in the chest.

Cheers,
