Herbert Johnson Seaplane Beaver
Thought I’d take everybody on another journey with me while Michelle works on my hat. I have to say, this “Seaplane Beaver” felt is a true chameleon. I can’t wait to see it in person!

(I decided to go with the regal purple liner, by the way)

Added a few more photos courtesy of Michelle that seem to capture the “true” grey color a little better.

Re: Herbert Johnson Seaplane Beaver
Hat arrived today. Only snapped a couple of quick pics as the light was fading, and so am I. Haha.
But initial impression is that it’s a gorgeous lid and it’s going to get a lot of wear, especially when I’m not in gear.

I agree such a fascinating color! It’s a great looking hat! I’m pretty sure this is the first of its kind from HJ to be posted to the forum.

Re: Herbert Johnson Seaplane Beaver
Thanks guys! I just uploaded a few more pics and a couple of videos of me moving around through various lighting scenarios at work. I really dig this hat, and can’t compliment Michelle’s craftsmanship and customer service enough. She’s the best of the best.
This is likely going to become a daily wear item for me. I'm about to throw it into the ring with the damp, frigid Vancouver winter for a few days. Trial by fire... or ice I guess.
