It really comes to life when it is put on with the turn action. This is literally right out of the box (and still has some box dust on it). but I want to share a few shots before I add Fullers...(note: indoor lighting at night, color may not be accurate in these images)

I am totally in LOVE with Roberto's work :notworthy:

You who have dusted your own hat...do you wet it in areas like around the ribbon, first? Any special tips you care to share? I'm thinking using a soft make up brush and just hitting around the ribbon and key spots then using a hat brush or just smacking it a few times to settle it.
First of all your hat looks AMAZING!!! I'm  actually lol! As for applying the Fuller's earth, what I do is put some in a stocking then put it in another stocking than go around patting the hat sort of like how a pitcher uses a rosin bag. Then I'll brush the excess off to give it a little more of a realistic look. Congratulations once again on your new hat. Roberto does wonders with felt. :TOH:

Amazing work!

I would like to see the pictures on your head when you recive it.

It’s a opinion but no one should never take a picture of too close or a selfie because this does not emphasize the work and this distorts the hat.

Thanks, Jason...specially coming from you, who make the best Cairo fedoras I've seen.

Totally agree about the close pics, and selfies...the distorsion doesn't help to show how will the hat look on you.
I've taken some other pics of that hat with a camera at some distance, and them zoomed...and hat looks much better.
I guess it's complicated for those who recive the hat to have someone else taking a pic instead of shooting a selfie...but the resulting image would be much better, you are right on this!

I'd like to publicly thank Roberto for his dedication and professionalism. I will be a repeat customer. The Hat feels amazing to the hand.
Supple and soft yet very solid in construction and density of the fur. He hit all the items on my checklist out of the park.

To be clear it wasn't a here are pics of the hat. Thanks. next....

Roberto made MY hat. he used my feedback and thoughts on it until we were both happy. Incredible customer communication and workmanship.

If you are thinking about having Steele and Jones make you a hat do it quick...or you'll be in line behind me for my Viajero '36.

Best,
jim

Don't worry.

If you can see it on the tracking is "in transit"
And it isn't lost. Just delayed.

Patience.
Some packages arrives sooner...it's a matter of luck.

In my experience there's no such thing as luck.

sorry...couldn't resist.

Every time I'm on the phone with FedEx or UPS and they assure me a package is on the truck for delivery
I ask them. Truck, What truck?

they are seldom amused.

Best of luck. I'm sure the wait will be forgotten when it arrives.

Maybe because I have the holster with it they are doing more checks haha. So far it still says on pre-shipment on usps website. Hopefully not much longer. Cybertrek got very lucky with a small wait time.

The longer delay usually is at the Customs. Once they deliver it to USPS and they update anything in their web...they are soon to deliver...

Wish I got as lucky as some others on here and only waited a week or two. Customs has had mine over a month. Still isn't a update on it. Wish there was a way to call customs and get a eta haha. But I know the wait will be worth it as Steele and jones fedoras are beautiful

My fedora finally processed through customs and is in the New York usps. Hopefully it won't take long to arrive in California. No eta yet on delivery but I imagine soon.

cybertrek that is unbelievably amazing looking. I am kind of in shock and awe of how great that looks. Hats off to Roberto and S&J. They really know how to nail the look.

What’s up is photobucket now charges a ransom to use for image file sharing. If you don’t pay, all your older uploads are kaput.

I suggest imgur.

Hi, Giant Thugee,
Like Jermiah said, Photobucket is not working as it used to, so, you can see some pics in this post (from members which use Imgur).
Here you can see some more of our work, or you can find us at Facebook or Instagram.
Thanks for your interest!

Not sure, but if the pics are not showing it’s more likely they themselves are not aware that photobucket no longer allows free hosting. I could go to my photobucket and attempt to upload a pic but it would probably have the same outcome as those broken links above.

Should be getting a Last Crusade from them soon, really excited about it. I’ll be using a trip to Colorado to break it in. Just curious how durable others have found their Exploradors? And how well they are in the heat? I live in Florida currently so heat’s never far from the mind.

Awesome. Excited to see it when it arrives.

I’m waiting on a nice and clean Raiders ‘Raven Bar’ hat from them. With how focused S&J is on screen accuracy, I imagine they’re using pretty lightweight hare fur felt, so it should do nicely protecting you from the sun without melting your head.

Though I haven’t tried an S&J hat yet, I have worn an Akubra Adventurer (which was a very lightweight, floppy rabbit felt) in the warm climates of Florida, Texas, and Southern California. I was comfortable in temperatures ranging from high 40s to high 90s F, and I run very hot. Hoping for the same versatility from my S&J hat.

Roberto can definitely speak to the weight and breathability of his felt bodies. :TOH:
