A Jeep you don't say.
Here ya go, a little fuzzy, I was messing around with some post apocalyptic googles, (and non-Indy shorts)

And thanks guys for the compliments, gotta say this seems to be Holy Grail of jackets as I've always loved distressed, they just take to long to get to this level, this looks like I've owned it for 50 years or was a hand me down from my Father.

PS the pictures were take with my I-Pad, made a holder so I won't fall off, and there ya go.
The Misses was busy and I like taking them from time to time.

Maybe we need to plan an Indy overlanding/Jeep expedition one day?

Sounds like fun, once we get through this &^$###.

And yes driving with the doors off (and top when I can) is fun, especially in a Jeep, been driving one scine 1994.

But this is about an awesome jacket, not Jeep.
Anyone whose thinking about or has one on order, get with Diego to figure the best way to get it shipped, as having it sit in customs is a drag, almost worse than the wait time.
I can get a Azuma shirt delivered out of Taiwan in about a week +/-.
But for some reason out of Argentina is harder, or am I wrong.

The last time I spoke with Diego a couple of weeks ago, shipping via UPS from Argentina was fine. No problems. After experiencing shipping issues with the postal service on some previous orders, Diego started offering upgraded shipping via UPS in late June. He gave me the option of shipping via UPS for an additional shipping fee, rolling the dice with the postal service, or he could just hang onto the jacket for safe keeping until this whole COVID mess clears up, whenever that may be. He had just shipped the first order to the US via UPS, so we waited to see how that worked. You know..."You go first." It arrived safely at its destination four days later. So I told Diego to go for it. I sent him the extra fee and he shipped the "Holy Grail" Truck Chase Jacket via UPS. It arrived safely at my home in North Carolina four days later. Given the options, especially not knowing how long COVID will continue to derail the postal service, I was happy to pay the additional UPS shipping fee. Things may have changed since then, but in late June, shipping via UPS to the US was taking approximately four days. And the best thing was Steele & Jones's customer service. Diego stayed in constant contact with me the entire time. I look forward to ordering again from S&J in the future.

Best,
Carolina

I know, my jacket is still stuck in Argentina as of June 10th - don't know if I'll ever get it at this point (also have their Streets of Cairo hat and leather gear waiting to be shipped). However, I have had both runs of Azuma's 2020 Raiders shirts delivered :rolling:

You will get your jacket.
If the shipped jacket gets lost, we'll make another one, free of charge. Of course.

But your package isn't lost.

At the time, when we dispatched your jacket, we were unaware of the suspension of transportation between Argentina and USA, due to Covid.
This affects Post service, because use commercial flights for transporting parcels.
Not the case of courier companies, that use their own flights.

We opened a claim at Post, to get the packages back.
So far, got 2 out of 9.

We hope to get back yours soon.

We are so sorry for this inconvenience.
Trying to solve things as best an fast as possible.

Thanks for your understanding.
Best regards.-

I was one of the 2 that already came back in the post and it was sent to me straight away in perfect condition ... and absolutely worth the wait.

But I can validate the agony of waiting :TOH:

Hope you guys get your jacket soon, I know Diego is doing all that he can to do just that.

They say the wait is worth it and it is.

Here's some shots the Misses took last week up in NH at the Flume (oh and it was about 80deg. out, but not humid, and believe it or not, I was comfortable.
I can only imagine what people thought, but no one said a thing, maybe it was the whip. No holster as I didn't want anyone freakin out. :-k But no one freaked out with a guy hikein the Flume in full gear.
It's a hybrid shot as I was caring my KotCS back pack.

And yes I had a face mask.
Image

And my COW coin, just in case I ran into anyone. But nope.
Image

Image

I wear it every day, but only in the A.M. as it's the only time it's cool enough.
But fall weather is comin, sad to say, but the only good this is I can wear the jacket more. \:D/

Finally got my S&J! I opted for lambskin and screen accurate distressing. It is so beautiful and fits perfectly - pics coming soon. The color and construction are amazing, and the fit is spot-on as well. My sincerest thanks to Diego and co. for their work, dealing with the shipping delays, and me changing the address for delivery about five times ](*,)

Thanks Trenin
I love taking pic's like this, always looking for location, location, location.
Found a sand pit, that has no issues if you go in on the weekend when know one is there, so I need to get back and do a full gear shoot there.

And.....
Dr. Jones, Jr., I'm so happy to hear we have another satisfied customer of the S&J Truck Chase, isn't it amazing, I find my self studying the brown under surface which is exposed by the distressing, just gotta be careful and not do it while driving. :rolling:

Can't wait to see you in it, not just a shot of it on the chair/table :- , best shots are when your wearing it, people really see the nuances of the beauty.
Congrats again.

I think the temperature gauge on my Jeep is broken. It reads 96 degrees...and I know it's MUCH hotter than that in NC right now! Much too hot for wearing any leather jacket outside for photos. I'll try to take some once in cools down. Of course, that will probably be late October. But...the good thing about living down South: most days in mid winter are warm enough that they're perfect for a light Indy jacket.

Keep posting those Truck Chase Jacket photos, Croft! They're definitely frame-worthy!

Ya know I can't take all the credit for the pictures I post, yes some are done with the ol trusty I-pad on a tripod with a bracket I made to hold it.
But a lot are done by the Misses, who's behind the camera more than she is in front of it.

So here's my Marion of almost 36 years (next month).

I've resized the images for you. When using imgur, you can add an "l" (that's a lowercase "L") at the end of the file name (before the ".jpg") and that will post a resized "large" version of your photo as seen above.

It looks perfect. I’m not looking for a new jacket right now, but if I was, I can’t get over being paranoid about them being lambskin. I know it is probably the most comfortable leather, but it just isn’t strong. What do you guys think?

For daily use, its very solid. The distressing is done prior to construction to not weaken the seams. If you intend to roam through thickets and dense forest, they do have a light horsehide that is tougher. I could go for a good goatskin, but I don't think they've picked any of that up to date.

All in all, this jacket is such that you put it on, look in the mirror, and say, “yes, that’s the look I’ve wanted all these years”.

Timor, you took the word right out of my mouth.
This jacket sums up all that is Indy,
Beautifully distressed with lovely brown Undertones, not grey like my Wested.
And while it my be lamb which isn’t bullet proof like goat, but for wearing daily, it perfect.
You might not be in the market for one, but you should start the slush fund
for one, because one day you will be.

Depends on the thickness of the hide. Some lambskin is tougher than others.

I recently purchased “The Truck” jacket from Steele & Jones as a Christmas gift to myself and I can confidently say that the hype surrounding these is real. I was hesitant on ordering one mainly because my slender sizing makes it difficult for myself to properly fit into one of these and still maintain the look. Diego reached out to me regarding my concern and was with me every step of the way during the process. He was very accommodating and went over all the relevant details to ensure that everything was proportionally scaled to fit my body while still keeping true to the Raiders jacket in terms of fit and all of its various nuances. Diego sent me some proposed measurements that he thought would work well until we arrived at a conclusive agreement.

The jacket was then made and sent out promptly once completed, which arrived within a reasonable amount of time. The item itself was well wrapped and packaged to avoid any kind of damage that could occur during transit. I looked it over and the build quality is superb with modestly, tasteful distressing that definitely helps it to look the part.
The leather that they had selected for this jacket is also absolutely perfect in every way needed that makes the Raiders jacket what it is. The color, thickness, texture, weight and drape that this PERFECTLY well sourced leather provides are all key properties to replicating, “the look.”

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and believe that I have jumped a thousand steps closer to owning the jacket that I see on screen. Thanks so much Diego for making this jacket for me and commend you for your dedication, hard work and research that is evident in this jacket and all of its details. As a fan, I truly appreciate your efforts. (I definitely see myself owning another one of these in the future) :TOH: ;)
