S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE” Now with Gear pic's
YUP, Steel & Jones have done it again, and they said I could start a thread regarding it.
Their coming out with a Raiders jacket based on the truck chase scene.
And you can even get it with the bullet hole, yikes.
I’m stoked because I’ve pulled the trigger on another S&J (last was a ToD hero)
Spec’s you can get are correct buckles with prongs or not, the lining can be 100% very thin polyester, dark brown (orriginal lining from the jacket) and they have their standard lining spec’s like cotton body with satin sleeves.
Their going to hopefully chime in with more info and pictures, I’v seen some and it looks awesome.
You can it distressed or not, but the distressing will be heavey and I like the way they do it, before the jacket is built.
I’m getting chocolate Robby lamb skin and it have satin sleeves for easy putting on, Tri-black buckles with no prongs, but I’m on the fence, others say with prongs are dangerous to car seats, but I need to hop more.
I love my recent jacket and they really take the time to get the sizing spot on and I know this one will to.
Now the waiting begins, again.

I’ve been hoping they would’ve popped in by now.
I,ve seen pictures but wasn’t surely If it was ok to post.
So when I can put them on imgu I’ll post one or two.
But it does look good, not sure it’ll have a lot of ribby but maybe some.

Thanks for the post, Croft.
The leather is "Chocolate Ribby Lambskin"
Some ribbiness here and there.
Nothing extreme.
We are putting together pictures and videos to announce this new offering.
Coming soon!

Not much longer now and I’ll have my new jacket, can’t wait.
Anyway, last night I changed the channel to about 5 minutes before the truck chase scene.
Just made me stand up and say, it must one crazy coincidence.
look forward to receiving it.

Re: S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE”
Well the waiting is almost over, Indiego Jones was so kind to tease me with some pic's of new jacket.
Looks awesome
I know some aren't a big fan of the pre-distressed, but when it's done before it's put together make a big difference in the integrity of the jacket. Sorry Michaelson.
I wear the jackets a lot, they just don't distress fast enough for me. This is why I'll distress a jacket. I love the look of a well beat up / worn jacket.
And here it is.
The grain on the back panel looks awesome, just like if not so very close to the textured in the scene where he on the front well well hanging on for dear life.
This looks awesome and I can't wait to show it off all geared up.

Ordered the Truck Chase jacket and the Streets of Cairo fedora from S&J. Was waffling between this and the Wested Raiders jacket, but went with this one based on the pics and the overall feedback for S&J.

Mine is on it's way, so look for picture as soon as it comes in.
This is the part that makes you naw on your finger nails.
The wait.
The questions, will it fit, how will it drape. How will it look. (it'll look good)
BUT
Diego asks question"s and get the details down.
I can't wait.

Re: S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE”
It has arrived, I watched it every day make it's way from NY to Nashua to Newmarket and now to me.
First thing I did when opening the bag, was to take a huge intake of breath, ahhhhh the new leather smell.
This looks and feels perfect right out of the box, and I'll be posting better pictures in day light this Sunday.
Steel & Jones have hit it right out of the park, was going to buy a ROTLA from them many years ago, but didn't and I'm glad I waited for this beaut to be offered.
Ok, bear with me, but the leather on this is soooooo soft, and nice a flat brown, not shinny like some others which require you to treat it some way to take the shine off it.
This leather looks like it's been a trusted friend for a long tome, but it brand new.
They did a fantastic job on the distressing that I don't think there's room for improvement. I always tweak a new jacket I some way.
Not this one.
Will wear it while, but it hit it with some water in the collar and sleeves, but not much.
The lining is all brown with satin sleeves, perfect. Wish it did have the S&J logo though, just to be able to say, its a S&J jacket.
I went with the buckles with prongs as based on info this is screen accurate, only question is, are there supposed to be holes for the prongs?
I will be adding more soon as I don't think you'll be able to keep me to quiet on this one.
Diego, you did an awesome job and should be proud to be able to put out something that looks like it was made from a company that makes leather jacket as a business.
If ever you quit your day job you defiantly have a future in the leather jacket business.
Thank you sir.
Oh yea, a quick pic, more to come.

Croft,
Thank you so much for this review
Wow....you look great in that jacket!
Of course, we want to see more pics!
The existing/surviving RAIDERS jackets have no label at all.
We respected that...in a certain way.
NO HOLES ON STRAPS!
The prongs work very well keeping the straps tight, no need for holes
Also, the original jackets had no holes.
ENJOY IT!!!
We are very happy for you
Cheers.-
PS: ha! I was correct on the size!

Re: S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE”
Yes you were correct in sizing, little, very little snug, but I typically wouldn’t be wearing a flannel shirt under it.
As I type this sitting with the misses, I’m of course wearing it, and it just feels so , so perfect.
And I got a chuckle when you told me where your logo was, haha that’s awesome.
anyone whose on the fence, better jump to get in line for this one.
And did I mention that new leather smell, wish you could bottle it.
Love this jacket.

Re: S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE” Now with Gear pic's
Ok, sorry it took me till now to post pictures in gear, sorry for the non SA beard, but Indy can get older, right.
Any way the temperature was 45 +/- and me and the Misses went out to the sand pit.
I'll probably take some more this summer when it gets really hot.
Mods, I hope you'll forgive me for the amount of pictures, but this jacket is awesome and I could post about 20 others, but I feel these really show this jacket off.
I asked S&J for distressed, but they offered a version that was even more than this one, but I held back.
They do all distressing prior to assembly so no seams are compromised.
Only thing I've done is water treatment on the collar to get the rolled look that I like.
Enjoy.
Awesome one of the back panel.
With my COW coin
And out and about in regular wear.
Diego, this jacket is so comfortable, I can't thank you guys enough.
My Holy Grail jacket.

Thanks, and as far as being dragged behind=d a truck, nope, don’t want to ruin it now.
Now if I can find the right truck, I might try the hanging from the front look. While stationary of course.

TRUCK and MAIN HERO jackets share 99% of the pattern and detailsTheExit148 wrote:Man this jacket looks REALLY good! I think this looks more like the Hero jacket to me, but I don't know what the detail differences are.

I mean, both were built from same pattern set. (and I guess, also other jackets seen in the film)
The differences comes with machinists assembly job.
A slight different fold on leather...etc, makes the details on each.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.
This has to be one of the best looking and feel good jacket I own.
It will definitely see a lot of wear and I can’t wait for warm weather to arrive, people will think I’m nuts wearing in warm weather, but hey, if Indy can so shall I.

Re: S&J CAZADORA 36 “TRUCK CHASE” Now with Gear pic's
Thanks guys!
We are doing well...so far. Roberto and I, and our families are in good health.
Argentina have a relatively small number of people infected (only 1000 infected / 45million people)
Most of them are argentinians who had come back from holidays in countries where corona heavily hitted (Italy, Spain...)
Our government took fast measures to avoid spreading. 20 days ago, when the first infected were declared, borders were closed.
15 days of quarantine, and another 15 ahead.
I hope it works. We'll see.
Working hard to deliver hats and jackets.
We wish to our friends all over the world the best, in this crazy times.
Stay home!!!
Be safe!
Kind regards.-
