I have an old lamb Raiders Wested that I love, and fits me perfect everywhere, except the width of the back panel. -Right where the top of the 'action back' overlay meets the sleeve seam.
Would it be possible to take an inch or so off each side to narrow this up? Looking at the construction, I can't tell if it would be doable or not...
I'll try to post a picture later...
Wested 'width' alteration?

That's probably the most complicated piece of the jacket. The back panel connecting to the body with the pleat, sleeves at that same location, shoulder seams, etc. I don't think it would be something that could be altered.
And, when you start messing with one piece of the jacket the rest starts to be impacted. I can't imagine you could change the back panel without the front chest being adjusted as well.

Re: Wested 'width' alteration?
...yeah, that's what I was afraid of.
Re: Wested 'width' alteration?
I wanted to do that too with my wested 1998 years ago. The majority on this bord advised me not to do it, so I gave up the idea.
Till I did it anyway. What happened was a jacket which I disliked so I had to sell it in the end. I would suggest to either sell it or just try to become happy with it as it is.
