Inside pocket
How sure are we that the inside jacket pockets were on the left side? The Kurtz jacket pocket is on the right side, so I was wondering if they just varied or what. Maybe KT can chime in here?

Well in the Temple of Doom you actually see him reaching into the left inside breasted pocket. I don't know about the other movie jacket pockets.
The Kurtz jacket does not appear to have the same lining that we see in the movie though. It's authenticity has been called into question.

Thanks, Holt. That's what I thought, but then I saw the Kurtz jacket. Although, my first inclination was not to trust that one, as it was obviously a last minute distress job and not in LC at all.Holt wrote:

Yes it was and truthfully. I love that jacket very much. Distressing and all.

The $3,000 bucks came from the left side I'm pretty sure.

Re: Inside pocket
Most images suggest left side. Logically, the majority of people are right handed so the inside pocket being on the left makes sense. (Until someone points out Ford is left handed... no, I don't know if he is or not. )
Re: Inside pocket
The whip / gun hand is generally the dominant hand, so Harrison is a righty.
Re: Inside pocket
Yes, but I think from his shirt pocket. His hand stays pretty high, not the depth of the jacket pocket.Screencapped wrote:The $3,000 bucks came from the left side I'm pretty sure.

If I was carrying $3000 cash, I would keep it buttoned up too!Tibor wrote:Yes, but I think from his shirt pocket. His hand stays pretty high, not the depth of the jacket pocket.Screencapped wrote:The $3,000 bucks came from the left side I'm pretty sure.

Maybe someone with a bigger screen and blue ray can tell better but it looks plausible to me the $3k could've come from the jacket pocket.Tibor wrote:Yes, but I think from his shirt pocket. Re: Inside pocket
It's a movie. I doubt that the prop money was in a pocket at all. That would require too much fumbling and potentially result in expensive retakes. The money was probably pinned, taped, or otherwise lightly secured inside the jacket specifically for the shot. Perhaps an easily accessible temporary pocket of some kind was rigged up.

Re: Inside pocket
I can't speak for all the jacket models but the Jacket worn in the Raiders truck chase does have a pocket on the inside.
My apologies for the fuzzy pic.

Re: Inside pocket
I reached inside my jacket pocket for a wad of bills a dozen times and never had a problem retrieving it. I put a paper clip on and it made it even easier. Who knows???davidd wrote:It's a movie.
