I was going through screen caps for a project and found myself wondering how Indy & Henry got their gear back during the Brunwald escape. In the film you see them escape from the burning room through the radio room... when they emerge to the room with the secret exit, they have all their gear.
Well, if you haven't noticed before (as I didn't), there gear was being stored in the radio room! You can see it all in the left side of this picture:
Amazing that one can still find new things after all these viewing and years!
I always wondered too, until I saw LC in theaters last year, and low and behold there was the gear! (Amazing how much more you see on the big screen.) The holster looks almost black.
This just makes me think about how Indy had to explain to his father how he was going to take his jacket off so he could put his bag on, then put his jacket back on.....
I have been listening to alot of the Indiana Jones Minute podcast, and I amazed by the details there are hidden in these films, all it takes is watching everything one frame at a time.
I just rewatched that scene and after locking the nazi soldiers behind the fireplace in the burning room the first thing they do is grab their gear as they walk through the radio room ... (the female radio operator seems to have vanished at this point) and exit.
I guess I'm asking if that scene missing from the version you saw? ... or is it missing from the screen caps only which can happen
